If you're given an opportunity to prove yourself and you continually fail at it, it's in you. The coaching staff wasn't making him panic like a little kid. I'm sure he's a pretty good dude outside of football but he isn't even average.

It sucks, but they could have easily been booing Miles.

I'm not sure I believe that. There were report after the Wisconsin game that BH started working with WRs after practice....
Most QBs at any level that want to be great put in the extra work long before they lose a game in their 3rd season. All we have heard about him when competing against Jennings was that he just needs to put in the extra work etc..
So im really just curious how much extra effort has he given?
Season 1 it was he just needed to learn the playbook..
Season 2 it was he just needed the game experience and do the little things.
He had been given a fair chance by far. I was always 100% on the Harris bandwagon. But after watching him last night and against Wisconsin I just don't believe it will ever click. He has a live arm but doesn't really know how to deliver a simple short pass. He constantly looks uncomfortable out there no matter how many games he plays in.
He came to LSU because our OC is supposedly known for developing QBs too so not sure what you meant by that.

BH has worked his arse off trying to be the QB that LSU needed. No one wanted LSU to win more than him. Unfortunately he came to a school who does not have coaches that develope QBs. He never looked comfortable running our system an
Always blame the system. You are the problem. No accountability or personal responsibility. The dude flat out can't hit a receiver on simple hitches and slants and makes poor decisions on a regular basis. How is that coaching?

He and MD need to cut back on the weed

SMH . you know how I know you never played serious ball?
The OP didn't say he didn't need to be pulled he said the staff hasn't done there part in development and he feels terrible for the situation Harris is in. Most likely because he can objectively understand the work the kids put in and the heartbreak when they don't achieve there goals.

As a football player? Not at all. He's had so many chances and has regressed badly.
As a human being? Absolutely. Nobody deserves the amount of hate he is about to receive for something as unimportant (in the bigger picture of life) as football.

I love when people who can't even form a coherent statement call other people dumb.

Immensely. I never like seeing a tiger not succeed. And I hate the fricking losers that booed him.
That said, I am good to go with Etling if he's the best option. It's still about the team in the end.

Yes. I'm sure it hurts like hell and our fanbase is way more prickish than average.
It doesn't change the fact that the right decision was made, though.

Poor coaching has nothing to do with throwing the ball 5 fret over an open receiver.
Eta: He's should've been benched last night regardless of how I feel about how he has been treated
Eta #2: I stand behind our guys so much, I like seeing them succeed even when they transfer school like Jennings

Yes, bc he is not put in a position that utilizes his skill set. what Lane Kiffen did with his freshman QB is what LSU should do if they are going to continue to recruit mobile qbs and continue to have a power run game. You don't recruit Cam Newton and Tom Brady, then give them the same plays to execute.....unless you are Les Miles.

I feel bad for Harris mainly because he was never coached up to his potential.... Every QB that Miles has recruited from high school has never been made a star or coached up after coming to LSU...Flynn was coached by Saban, Hatch Was a transfer as was Mettenberger also... You can't tell me that Jennings, Harris and other Qb's that came to LSU and maybe transferred after were all that bad...not saying that all of them would become all world.... This coaching system is the problem...

Nope. Not at all. He's a grown man who's playing a grown man sport. He had his shot on the big stage and couldn't hack it so he's on the bench. If he doesn't like criticism from strangers then he needs to find a new line of work.

How has he been treated badly? He became a starter last year when things went south for Jennings. For the most part, he has not played well against good teams. He did have a good game against Florida last year. He just does not seem to be able to process the info that he needs to process, and he lacks poise. I did not say that he was stupid; many very intelligent people do not have the make up to be QB in the SEC. He does have a good arm and can run effectively at times. He has not produced, and he has been given every chance. Perhaps the demotion is what he needed.

The play that did him in was the pass that should have been picked off and was no where near an open WR and Harris didn't have a rush.
The main difference i saw between QBs was that Harris seems to always look like he is under pressure. DE however looks comfortable in the pocket and knows when to take off running.
Harris somehow forgot this year when to take off running.
