He was arguably the worst hitter in the everyday lineup. You can have that opinion and still not want him to leave

Seems like we have a lot in here that would beg him to stay, especially given that we're debating how good he's been. I'll remember to speak only highly of Jordan Thompson.

With a career fielding percentage right around .900. You can also know all of these things, see his potential, not want him to leave, but state that it wouldn't surprise or scare you that he enters the portal or leaves.

He literally hasn't hit .300 with 12 bombs and fielded .950. Literally.

Wait what? When did anyone claim that he has done that? Did I miss something?

Hopefully he isn't a soy cuck boy like most of the younger generation and will fight for a position.

thompson has a weird following of people that think the oozes talent despite all the evidence to the contrary

I know this. Jobert and McManus were arguably worse. That doesn't mean I want Jobert to leave either.

I don't understand what you are getting at? Yes, fans want the best players on the team to stay on the team even if they aren't starting. That's how you have depth. You're acting like we have a shite ton of infielders ready to just light it up.

He’s definitely staying. Jay always talks highly about him

Mcmanus and jobert at least slugged, and therefore there OPS (superior offensive metric) was better

I don't want him to leave. It wouldn't surprise or scare me if he entered the portal and/or left.

The hate this kid gets on here is ridiculous

I've seen no evidence that he is hated. He was a horrific defensive SS. Pointing that out isn't hate.

I agree with a decent amount of what you said in your recent posts. Not all of it. It would surprise me if he left and I don't think he will. It wouldn't scare me though. He has the potential but from what we have seen of him so far in his career, he isn't someone that would scare or worry you for next season. Especially with knowing Pineda will be at LSU next season.

Nice, McManus had the 4th best OPS on the team. You think he was the 4th best hitter?

He’s a 2 year starter in the sec. He’s not going anywhere.

Agreed! Despite his issues, he’s a Tiger and doesn’t quit! Can’t wait to see his improvements next season in Omaha

I get that. I don't think a ton of people are arguing with you on that. I think people are arguing with other things you said.

You put him at 3rd and 2nd. Why the hell would he leave?

Damn close to it. He was probably 5th best. But obviously he, doughty, and pearson all finished with very similar OPS’. So i dont see the issue
