Our coach of ten years got fired. Three games ago we were seen as on the verge of falling back towards mediocrity. We have been mediocre since 2012. Sabans bama is perhaps the greatest dynasty of all time. This looks to be one of his best teams. Our mascot died of fricking cancer. We had riots and social upheaval in the summer. Historic flooding to start the season. A cancelled game. A program that has historically owned us, and especially the past 5 years has owned us physically and emotionally.
If beating them wouldn't be a cathartic experience worthy of a bunch of 18-24 year old students rushing the field and celebrating with guys like Tre White and Beckwith and Leonard and Adams who have bled and toiled for this school without ever beating Bama...then I have no fricking idea why you're college football fans.
Get over yourselves. It's a game meant to inspire passion and school pride.

Seeing as we will be up by 14 or so, I don't think people will rush the field. If it were a close and crazy finish, I can see it. Orgeron carried off the field. I'm down with it. All this "act like you've been there before" talk is stupid. Have fun and celebrate.

I will never forget when the pa announcer said please don't Rush the field when bama got the ball back on the last drive in 2014. Then we lost and that was just embarrassing.

Sheesh, I hope not. What's the point? I'd love to see the fans act like we've been there before. I realize it's been awhile since LSU has beaten that damn team but they have before and will again.

Did Alabama rush the field when they beat us in 2008? I believe up until then they were on a six game losing streak against LSU?

No. They, "Bama fans", are very prideful in that they've never rushed the field. Ever. According to them.
