Oh damn Pho Que II is a mad genius for thinking this up. Maybe he's the next Confucius.

Have you watched some of his press conferences? There’s a frustration there that could work in our favor.

thank you Atl, you hit the nail on the head with your breakdown, all very accurate.

4. LSU will never commit that much $ to men's hoops. Sad facts and I hope I am wrong.
I think never is strong but you are right - it's not a priority. That's why you need a coach that can go out and raise money himself for the program. CMM is the polar opposite of that.

He trusts Verge’s boss. A lot.

I think your business would fail if you spent frivolously. The prudent business question is would an extra $5M in NIL be enough for CMM to win, while still saving $5M, or do we need to spend $10M more to get a better coach at the same NIL? If $5M more leads to lots of winning, then that will make money. Will $10M more at the same NIL lead to as many wins? I doubt it. It may lead to more wins than we're getting now, but I doubt the difference would justify the extra $10M.

When you see a post like that it shows the poster has no idea why we’re even losing at the rate we are under McMahon.

If we (LSU) didn't have Emmert as Chancellor, we don't win shite in Football. There is no 2003 and the rest, that we enjoy.

It’s all tied together right. Not understanding why we’re so bad, not understanding college basketball in general referring to the landscape and where coaches come from. Not understanding what success is in basketball and how it’s brought about.

For fans, baseball, baseball. I can repeat it forever.

He may not. But that ship most certainly has not sailed. There is mutual interest, or at least communication. I would say as of today WW probably has the best odds to be LSUs next MBB coach. Of course that could change, but as of now, it’s where things stand.

I don’t understand these people that speak this as absolute. He may not come back but to say it’s impossible is naive. The new administration, BOS and governor would welcome him back as of the majority of the fan base. The questions in my mind are does WW want to come back and could the boosters make the money work.

Wade has NC State 17-6 and 7-2 ACC (3rd place) this season. They're currently the hottest and "sexiest" team in that league, and are favored tonight @ SMU.
I've started following this team-- they're actually fun to watch, and has a coach who's businesslike but not a mildmannered milktoast gentleman on the sidecourt

It’s the same people who said Kiffin wasn’t coming to LSU. If Wade wants to come back, he will be the next coach of the basketball program.

TPK and Mcpuff have some good takes. One poster here already lost $1K on his bets on CoachMc.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of their season goes. Outside of a WTF loss to a crappy Georgia Tech team at home, they've been able to beat the rest of the back half of the ACC pretty soundly (plus a good road win @ Clemson). The schedule gets much tougher now with road trips to SMU, Louisville and Virginia, to go along with home games vs. Duke, Miami, and UNC.
I suspect they will get a few wins in that group...but not sweep through. They didn't make much hay in the non-conf. portion of the schedule, so a 8-10 seed in the NCAA Tournament is likely.

I wouldn't be so eager to make fun of Mcspuffdork, drizz.
He has EXTENSIVE playground experience that puts all of us to shame, and his takes on LSU and McMahon are always so objective and excuse free.
