If your a die hard LSU fan as myself, our best shot at getting Fickell to LSU would be for Cincy to miss the playoff. They're headed to the Big 12 and have a damn good shot at making the playoff. We need to get this man in Baton Rouge ASAP and the only way this is possible is if Cincy loses. If we do fire O, Im praying we get Fickell.

eta: Orgeron makes more than double Fickell makes, we could easily give Fickell a number he can't refuse

Very low chance, but Woodward needs to get it done. That’s why he’s paid like he is.

yup, and he'll use it to get a great contract somewhere else (see Tom Herman)

In my opinion, he isn't coming. Born in Ohio, played for Ohio, 95% of coaching career is in Ohio. I believe he's staying.

Idk Cincy getting there and getting blown the frick out would be fine too.

He isn’t winning a NC at Cincy.

The Fickell hype feels like 2016 Herman hype. Not many hot "Group of 5" Head coaches live up to the hype once they make the jump.

I thought the chatter was that he wasn't leaving that region. Or Ohio at all.

I personally don't see why he'd leave Cincinnati to come to LSU. He will get into the playoff this year and the path will only get easier with the expansion. No reason to come try and fight the SECW.

He was in Georgia for a bit. First job. At least that's what wiki says

This is not how the top coaches think. If you pay him his money, which we have an AD that has the will to, it is very likely he comes barring working out the intangible points (i.e. family, comfort level with community etc.) The latter stuff is where Woodward excels imo. The catholic community in Baton Rouge could be a huge selling point here.

So, by your own admission, it's very unlikely Fickell would want to come to LSU. Yet, you expect Woodward to get it done regardless?

What amount of money should he stop at before giving up? Or should he kidnap him and force him to coach at LSU?

This is nothing more than you setting it up to be able to say, "Woodward can't get things done." You publicly came out and said O needed to go, but your actions since then have screamed otherwise. You are still a jealous little bitch, looking to blame every other person besides O for this mess.

It’s his job to convince the best candidates to take this job regardless of circumstances. Even O almost pulled the hottest DC name in football last year out of Ohio. LSU/boosters checkbook is open apparently. Make it happen.
