Dj Pickett and pj woodland vs Bryant Wesco and Tj Moore is the biggest defensive matchup

Clemson has a virtually a brand new line. I don’t see them coming into Death Valley and having success rushing the football esp with a healthy whit weeks. The strength of their team is their two headed wr monster in tj moore and Bryant Wesco. Both are most likely top 60 overall prospects and have game breaking ability. Last year the trio of Delane , woodland and Pickett mostly put them in a seat belt.
This year, it’s now fully the Pickett/woodland show they’ll be solely tasked with limiting this dynamic wr tandem. Should be a fun battle to watch on the outside this Clemson team isn’t a slouch theirs some very dynamic ball players on that roster.

Nah our DLINE vs their OLINE. If we are in the backfield in 1 second it doesn't matter what our DB's are doing.

Clemson doesn’t scare me, but their WRs are very good.

For sure need the defensive line to set the tone and dominate what will be virtually brand new offensive line. Princewill needs to wreck havoc, deuce Geralds need show off that dynamic interior pass rushing bag we know he brings to the table, need dom McKinley to be immovable in the run game. Want to see a physical havoc creating front

Will be one of the better wr rooms we see all season. Wesco and Moore are absolute dudes

I've lowered my expecting on Pickett. There's no way to replace Delane. There hasn't been a cover corner like him at LSU since Morris Claiborne. Not even Stingly(while here) would shutdown an entire area of the field like that.

If we can get pressure with 4 or no more than 5 they won’t have to cover long which will force the new QB to hurry his throws and opens up Spears and Benefield for INTs

Tre white was another guy who was an absolute locksmith. I’m high on Pickett I expect an all SEC caliber season. He already showed traits of a great cover corner as a true freshmen. Another season working with Raymond refining his technique I except a big year

Benefield will be around the box wrecking havoc à la Jamal Adams . Hell prob play the deep safety role from time to time but I think Cooley or jhase Thomas will be more responsible for downfield coverage then Ty

Tbh Pickett didn’t play like himself that game. There were questions about whether Raymond would be retained and the defense in general had low energy. I think Pickett was playing to avoid getting hurt I don’t think one bad performance where he still only gave up 62 yards erased the strong freshmen year he had

THIS. Most important matchup of the game by far.

We’ve been hearing how our dline is gonna dominate everyone for the last like 10 years it feels like and it just never fully materializes.
I’m gonna wait and see on that one. I hope we dominate their O line but this same shite has been said every year and it always ends up being not the case.

Biggest matchups:
1. Interior DL vs their interior OL
2. Our edge rushers vs their Tacklets
3. Our interior offensive line vs Clemson's interior defensive line
4. Seaton and Weston Davis vs Will Heldt and Clemson's edge rushers.
Those are the only correct answers going into this game.
