Bunch of old farts in this thread. Music definitely helps set the tone for the game. There is a reason all football players listen to music during warm ups/pre-game. High School, College, and NFL level.
I don't get why this song gets them hyped, but since it does I'm all for it.

EDITED AFTER: from a google search of marching bands to play this, Alabama already did it: Alabama's Million Dollar Band Right Above It
Think the GBFTL would of course do it better, but no reason to copy
