This is the only reasonable post in this whole thread....and it will probably get the most down votes.
Unfortunately I think LSU knows what's up and they know that they might be in a situation with no good escape. Despite the desperate attempts of 90% of this board to spin this positively, I think LSU knows there is too much damning evidence out there that will eventually see the light.

While I don't disagree, what does suspending him NOW get you? If players are ultimately ruled ineligible....then they have been ineligible for the entire season. The only "evidence" is the wiretaps. Certainly that is damning, but those wiretaps have been out there since October...BEFORE the season started.
It's not like there are 4 months of the season left. What's done is done. The next 3 weeks aren't going to change that.
