He’s in year 2 and our O line looks lost week after week. It’s one thing to not have talent, but it’s another to watch the O line not have a clue what they’re doing and not pick up basic stunts and formations the Defense is showing.

Y’all are fricking stupid

His best player is an 18 year old freshman who is out

He’s starting another true freshman at right tackle

His best guard is injured

He has no legit center on the team

But yeah let’s call him out

You ever hear of injuries? If Campbell and Delly are healthy we are looking pretty good.

Won’t be able to fairly judge Davis until next season.

Ehhh. There is some truth to the OP. Hester and Tbob talked about it this morning. Guys aren’t even using proper technique on double teams which tbob was saying is the same no matter what position along the line you are in. They aren’t squaring their shoulders in pass pro or run pro. Technique is coachable so some blame lies on the coach. He can be young, or weak, but every LSU offensive lineman should be using proper technique, and if he still gets beat than so be it, blame it on talent.

We have two freshmen on the line. Campbell had to be hospitalized the day before the game, and then Dellinger left the game in the 1st quarter, so that means our whole starting left side of the line was suddenly gone against our toughest opponent of the year, when we were already thin on depth.

This Oline is depleted as can be. He was dealing with way more bullshite than the Oline last year. New scheme and head coach want things done different. He will get the boys on track. I expect us to have a top o line in the nation in the next 2 years

We have the right coach... any time your starting offensive tackles are true freshmen, you are in serious trouble with personnel.

The entire OL returns next season. Our 2 best OL are FR. We also have some really good OL in the current class beginning with Zalance Heard who is a borderline 5 star. This is going to be a very good OL next season. They just need time to get experience and develop and find the optimal lineup.

When you have true freshman starting along with a true sophomore it shows that he's had literally nobody to work with to even develop.

You're also being blind because then there's the rotation stuff from injuries.

Haven’t see the PFF grades for the Tennessee game but they have been pretty good across the board for the O line this season.

Some of you really need to step away from the keyboard, maybe just give LSU a break on Saturday's in general.

It's impossible to grade Davis right now.

His three best players on the OL are underclassmen, with two of those three being true Freshman. Two of those three also essentially weren't available last week, and likely won't be available this week. Oh and probably your fourth best OL is a redshirt Sophomore from FIU.

Secondly, we are going into our 7th game and 6th different starting OL. Anyone who knows anything about OL play is how important consistent reps is, and this group hasn't gotten that in Spring, in camp, this season, etc. If Davis were to build this into a really good OL I would wonder if he's some sort of magician.
