Didn't the SEC threaten expulsion if the players were rostered or played?

LSU did neither, so what changed?
Also, do you think this happens if LSU is a middle-of-the-pack team this year?

Best I can tell they are trying to setup a legal precedent to punish schools even when they have court orders
They’re just running on the assumption that we are going to do it eventually and holding the vote to boot us ahead of time as a threat to get us to beg and promise we won’t do it
It’s a power tactic

I thought the SEC said it was coming after LSU whether or not we rostered the players.

And that means nothing. There's many schools across the country that don't have the full 105. They're making the assumption that we will do it later because "they feel" we left the door open for it. As many have said on here, it's a power tactic. They want us to publicly say we won't add the players to the roster. And you know what...they should. And then the players should sue. Guess they'll blame that on us too.

The real question is would the SEC pursue Ole Miss if those same players had gone back to Ole Miss. I bet not.

Fact is they never played for LSU
Again what rule did they violate?
