We were paying the baseball gods back this season for the voodoo that occurred in those games against Arky in Omaha last year baw.

Likely has more to do with being in a dogshit conference where they can just out talent everybody on a week to week basis. 
LSU, as bad as it was, would be winning or in the top couple teams in any other conference.

They returned a better stable of pitchers than we did, while we went out and the only quality arm we really added got hurt mid-season.

You mean the preseason #5 that failed to win their conference, is traveling for a regional, and lost 21 games despite returning their best arm (and multiple other top arms), multiple key bats, and their entire coaching staff?
