I never said that I wanted to be LSU. Do I want success like them? Absolutely. But for some reason when UL(L) gets a little success, people around here misinterpret it as "trying to be LSU."

What success? 2 NOLA bowls?

Nope, it doesn't bother most LSU at all bc more LSU fans wish well for ULL than the other way around. What aggravates me is the "woe are we" ULL fans while at the same time trying to lay claim to being called something they are not.

If you read my previous posts in this thread, you will see that I admit this.

My bad. I didn't rear all of it. I'm also pretty sure that athletics at UL is self sufficient and receives no tax money.

LA law allows only $250k towards coaches salaries. Hudspeth is making close to $1 mill. You aren't paying his contract....

Name me one other in state school other than LSU with that success, and complain about them too.

Oh and how quickly your forget how excited LSU fans were for that independence bowl berth in 1995 after six straight losing seasons in football. I'm sure you didn't downplay that back then, if you were even a fan.

For Seinfeld fans: "And you wanna be my Latex salesman?"

That quote kind of reminds me of all the delusional USL fans.

"And you University of Southwest Louisiana, alias University of Louisiana at Lafayette fans wanna be the called the "University of Louisiana?"

George Costanza didn't get the job and yall aint either.

With that pathetic and pitiful showing at a college baseball Regional just 50 miles away, your fan base had a chance to put up or shut up. Yall certainly didn't show up so please STFU and cease/desist with any further UL nonsense.

Know your place and accept it. Yall just proved you don't belong in the Country Club. Now go take that garbage out, it's getting late.

(BTW, I hear Hudspeth is already looking around for greener pastures and a better gig too.)

Yeah forget the success we had before that when you mention the worst era in LSU Football, like the national championship, or multiple baseball CWS titles in that same decade, or the numerous track and field titles. None of that happened.

So that means I can constantly complain about my tax dollars going to LSU academics to where over 100 faculty members get laid off.

Sure if you want. I can focus on the academic side of your university as well, if you want.

He downplayed our Nola bowl wins so I threw it right back. Nowhere in my post did I say anything about baseball or track and field. But since you brought it up, I dont think baseball played a huge role in hallman's last home game in 1994 where only 30k fans showed up.

Very true, but LSU should never have that low of an attendance with the size of the fan base that they have. Plain and simple.

I'll put it in a different perspective because I will agree with you that UL is not on LSU's level and will have a hard time even thinking about getting to that level in my lifetime. Fans of schools like Stanford, Ohio State, etc. don't have to bash other schools in their state to make themselves feel better. Their fans are talking about being the elite schools in the COUNTRY. You LSU fans love to "not care" about measly ole USL, but you spend more time talking about that than how you are becoming the best program in the country. Your inferiority complex with the elite of the country is exponentially bigger than any complex a Cajun fan has. If you are such an elite school, why don't you compare yourselves to the others in the country? The answer is easy. It's because you couldn't dream of being on that level as an entire university. At least we have the balls to face the truth.

No yall refuse to STFU about funding being the only thing between the two Universities. And you don't think we are competing with other universities in this entire country? Wonder why it is extremely clear yall aren't even close?
