Have you ever heard of the Oil and Gas industry? You should look it up sometime, you might learn something.

Speaking of learning something, you might want to look up the definition of per capita.

Where did I say that we didn't get funding from the state before TAF? My statement still stands about that excuse being the weakest possible one from ULL's side.

Right now, present day. Myself and many LSU alumni like me are still footing the bill for your welfare university. Your shitty university is sucking this state dry with the state getting little to nothing in return. This state would be way better off with out Oh LA LA.
Then in that case, you can probably say that about any other in-state school. Again, give us the same luxury and a $120 million budget to play with and you will get your money's worth.

Well then, let's hear your solution to the problem.

Then you'll get the same amount.

You have actually have to build your program up until you can receive funding like that from a private organization. Success isn't just given away.

I loved watching dick measuring contest about how has better fans in sport no one cares about. I bet the uconn women's message board does the same

Defnding what? fricking facts? Get over yourself dude. Every LSU fan/alumni tax payer is tired of paying for your school.

There is no problem. Everything is as it should be.

Lafayette has sooooo much money, but your university is still sucking up those tax payers dollars.

Agreed. But most of this building comes from state funding. You see, it's easy to sit back and say "do what LSU did" when you're on your high horse. But it's just not that easy when that same school got most of the help from the state legislature for so many years. I mean, come on. One of Huey Long's largest issues on his agenda was promoting LSU through state funding.
Again, LSU didn't become what it is today through a magic trick.

See this is the problem, you Oh LA LA folks want everything given. Isn't our tax dollars enough? LSU did work son, Oh LA LA needs to do the same.

It sad that what I'm hoping is just a few "fans" make other schools fans dislike lsu. It's not the players or the university that isn't liked, it's the fans that suck!!!!! What an embarrassment to the state and school

That's the norm for a LSU regional championship game in Baton Rouge, buta lot more ULL fans who didn't wait untill Sunday to get tickets could have got tickets if they wanted tickets to support their team.
That's a weak excuse for ULL fans to use to cover their poor showing of team support.

when LSU is the only school sold in the state for 80+ years
LSU is not to blame for having appeal which causes Louisiana sports fans to seek LSU teams out.
That's been the main problem with ULL from the start. ULL spends more time blaming other state schools for thier problems than they spend working to solve their problems.
You want to talk about the LSU advantage over you, but you totally gloss over the fact that the McNeese, La Tech, and ULM's of the world have done better with far less to work with than ULL has.

We didn't even know that we were going to make it that Sunday night after the loss on Friday. I didn't get notice that I was going to last night's game until two hours beforehand

I agree. And I tell some of my Cajun friends that as well. We control our own destiny. Our previous administration was definitely to blame for the lack of progress with the athletic program. But it's almost insulting that people still have this mindset that LSU's success just magically appeared. Money talks, podnuh. Coaches salary, facility enhancements, tv contracts....all play a role in athletics. Before the TAF, where did the money come from?

Seriosuly? I can understand La Tech here, but what have the other schools done?
But enough about this fun debate, I'm enjoying the other thread about the K lady's manly voice

Was UL Lafayette even a university at that time, or just a vocational college? Serious question.
