So, ULL fans only bother to come to regional games an hour away for the championship game? Ok, I understand now.
So sorry that we don't bring 5000 fans everywhere like LSU does.

You can deflect all you want by shouting out lack of money compared to LSU, but that doesn't explain away how a school with a enrollment of 20,000 and set up in one of the largest cities in the state can be such a failure for decades and decades and decades.
Don't look outside for the resasons, but look within.
Did you not see me say in a previous post that the previous administration didn't do its job and we control our own destiny now? I guess you missed that post.
Oh, and you stating that McNeese beating us in 2007 years ago is like me saying that UAB is better than LSU for winning the game back in 2000.
And ULM beating Bama and Arkansas has gotten them where? Exactly. Not to mention, we have a 5 year streak on them in football right now plus we swept them in basketball this past season, as well as softball. And we went 6-0 against them in baseball this year.
Tech is a tier II school, eh? Guess what? So are we.

Yeah I don't think he realizes that.

Never said that. And I'm not talking just football. But before the TAF, a good bit of money was publicly funded. I'm sure Duckman here wasn't complaining about footing the bill back then.

Look all i'm saying is I'm tired of funding your shitty athletic program. As long as my tax dollars go to your school I'll voice my views and facts.
Look man, I am an LSU fan, and I live in Lafayette, so angry little brother UL fans annoy me just as much as anyone else. I have two degrees from LSU. Purple and gold through and through. But you seem like a complete dickhead in this thread. Your whole argument is based around your anger with tax contributions to UL athletics. Are you really being hit that hard financially with tax payments to UL? Have you itemized all these deductions? Are you really this angry over $10 a year from you 35k salary? Comon man

Hudspeth's contract allows him for a raise when the team wins so many games as well as a bowl berth/win. Just about every coach in the country has this type of contract. And pretty much every school that wins a bowl game gets a ring, including LSU if they would have won the Chik-fil-A bowl.
Its not common for a coach to go 9-4 and get a salary bump like that. Also, why give someone a huge raise when they plan on moving on as quickly as they can? He is not staying because of money, he is staying because of lack of opportunity.
I was not aware of the bowl rings. I never heard of it outside of the BCS bowls until those were issued.
What are your thought on throwing money away for that pay to play basketball tournament?

As for stadium expansion, it is part of the master plan. It's the 101 on attracting recruits to your school, as we all already know.
Playing in a 2/3 empty stadium is better for recruiting than playing in a 2/3 full stadium? Please explain that one.

Why would I complain about footing the bill for "My" university that "I" graduated from.

You make UL(L) sound like it's some poor SWAC school. Why don't I hear you complain like this with the likes of Southeastern, ULM, Tech, LSU-A, etc?
Posted on 6/3/13 at 2:02 pm to Cajunese
So the only reason we can get out of you for the difference between LSU and ULL athletic programs is state funding?

So it's ok for non-LSU grads to foot bills that go towards LSU causes, but it's not ok the other way around.
I see your logic now, or lack there of.
Even your own people are calling you out now.

No, but state funding from years ago helped LSU in more ways than people want to admit around here. It was not always a self-serving program by any means. LSU promoted it and did it right.

WTF are you talking about?
Yes, as a tax payer. I will voice my views. You might like to stand by like a fricking pussy and get fricked in front your wife but i don't. To each his own i guess.

If they want to support the university of there chosing, yes.
Like i said, as long as i pay your university i will voice ALL my views. You don't like it then stop taking my/alumni/fan tax money. Until that stops then I'll shut up.

Man I'm a Cajuns fan through and through but you are fighting a losing battle here. Ray Authement is the main reason UL is in the position it is in right now.

No one ever said it was. You just cant accept the fact that ULL wont be on the same level as LSU as an athletic program. Just give up dude, LSU is THE Louisiana school and that isn't going to change. Accept it and move on.

If you read my previous posts in this thread, you will see that I admit this.

I never said that I wanted to be LSU. Do I want success like them? Absolutely. But for some reason when UL(L) gets a little success, people around here misinterpret it as "trying to be LSU."

So that means I can constantly complain about my tax dollars going to LSU academics to where over 100 faculty members get laid off.
