No in baseball all they care about is winning the series. Also Baseball rankings more than any other sport stick to their preseason predictions until conference play starts for the most part.

I mean, a sweep is better than 2/3. But to sort of answer OP, no, winning 2/3 as opposed to sweeping Indiana in the 1st series of the season won't "hurt" us in the long run. I have no idea what it means for rankings because those are meaningless.

Yes. We are totally screwed. At this point, I think we played ourselves out of hosting a regional. It's really sad, and pathetic. It will be mighty tough to pull out of this hole, with only 53 games remaining.

The number one and two teams also didn’t sweep this weekend, and both still have a chance to lose their series. Will it hurt them?

No. Playing a top 45 team in Indiana is better than playing and sweeping a 250 team from the northeast any day.
