If you want true insiders go sign up for a premium board, on3 has several. If you want to get bombarded by 99% fake insiders and stupid, believe what you will here.
Last week, several actual insiders (talking boosters or people actually connected deep inside LSU) all were mostly in alignment the Wade deal had gotten done and would be announced over the next week probably. They were right on.

Timing was a moving target on most of those. That is not surprising in this sort of situation. Almost all of them indicated an after April first hiring due to the buyout structure at NC State.
I don't care that much if they had sources or not, only that we now have some excitement in MBB. I do think most of them were lucky guesses that happened to pick true info. The few I think had real info were not screaming it from the rooftops; that's a good way to not get info in the future.

No coincidence. Just connections. Schroyer and Wade had a relationship dating back well before 2024. Schroyer was expected to be on Wade's first LSU staff in 2017-2018. It ultimately didn't happen, but Shroyer eventually got the McNeese HC job. That led to him getting the AD job there.
No one was going to hire Wade immediately after he got fired from LSU. However, he had a friend as AD at McNeese who boldly and shrewdly said McNeese's basketball program sucks and under normal circumstances it would never be able to hire a guy like Wade. However, Wade was in need of a job and McNeese had nothing to lose by taking a chance on him.
Not a coincidence. Just a connection. The right guy was AD at the right place at the right time.

Bingo! And it's why this move has been in the works for over a year. Every domino that fell since last summer signaled this conclusion. It didn't take any "inside source" to see that happening. Just a basic deductive reasoning ability.
The final signals arrived in March. The only people who didn't recognize them were the ones either not paying attention, or who simply didn't want to recognize them. LSU's ends another miserable season and unlike every other school with a coach on the hot seat NOTHING happens re: McMahon. He's not fired. However, there is no report, statement, etc giving in a vote of confidence or indicating he was returning. Total radio silence. The reason was pretty simple. It wasn't 100% certain LSU was keeping him. But the fact LSU didn't fire him and jump into coach search mode (like other schools) told you LSU only had one person in mind to replace him...if that person agreed to do so.
Then a story quietly broke two weeks ago that Heath Schroyer was being pursued for a position in the LSU athletic dept. To anyone who was paying attention for the last year that was the final domino to fall and it was VERY clear Wade was coming back.
It wasn't great sources. It wasn't a lucky guess. It was just paying attention and critical thinking.

My source was a friend of a politician who was a very close friend to WW and said he was returning before it was announced.

I totally agree with this. No one with a direct line inside LSU AD is coming on here and shouting out that they have a direct line. Otherwise they wouldn’t have it long. I do believe there are people on here with said direct line but they aren’t telling anyone about it.

Lots of people in that video of Wade returning at airport. Those people share with their close circle, and so on.
Most of the sources were spot on very early, I know mine was.
