His shite is so stupid... Ciron would have been a second round pick last year and i bet cs would have gone by now also. shite happens and everyone should be happy for these players. This wasnt our best class we have put out, but at the end of it all it was a solide group regardless of the fricking coaches.

Look at Tebow. From the combine til now Meyer was taking heat for not developing him into an nfl qb and look what happens. You could say he made a name for himself, so that would be true with any prospect. Just like jones, he didnt perform that well at the combine so he made a name for himself.... As a 3rd round pick.

Colt went 3rd round, but mack isnt a shitty coach.

I remember when there used to be "Congratulations so-and-so" threads the last few years for our player that got drafted.

Now all we get is "Miles sucks because so-and-so didn't get drafted higher". I really am disappointed in our fans right now. At least I'm disappointed in the fans that frequent the Rant right now.

Fail!!

Who developed all the 1st round draft choices and developed the talent who won the 07 NC? It sure wasn't Saban who flew away in 04.

Good God, some of you are clueless, but you think you know more than a NC coach. Small wonder our fan base is seen as arrogant, know it all fools by many in the SEC.

Shut-up for once and Listen to what the main complaint has been all along.

THE WORK ETHIC THOSE PLAYERS HAD STARTED WITH NICK SABAN! So yes. Nick Saban had a lot to do with those guys getting to where they did... So did 3 other up and coming Head Coaches... Will Muschamp (HC in waiting)(DC for Runner up in MNC Game Last Year), Bo Pelini (10-4 last year without an Offense - Did you watch the Big 12 Championship Game between Nebraska and Texas? 13-12 in a defensive gem), Jimbo Fisher (the book is out, but we know he was behind the talent development for the 2007 team)

people are upset at Miles because 3RD PLACE IN THE SEC IS bullshite considering the talent he brings in. With all of the great "raw" players we bring in, there is no way in hell we should be losing to the Ole Misse's of the SEC and barely beating the Miss. St's of the SEC. I'm sorry but the fricking coaches suck at grooming these great freshmen into polished players ready to play in the NFL. Not to mention he's killing the offensive guy's chances at getting drafted high by the lack of quarterback play/growth and the offensive schemes in some games seemed so limited because of our qb situation.

There is NO arguing this.....

Reference the thousands of rantards still creating threads like this dumbass one to the the simular ones about Jefferson and Lee!

how did we win 9 games and finish 3rd overall in the SEC?

6 of those 9 wins were against non-bcs teams (ULL, TU, LT) or teams with losing records: Wash, 5-7, Vandy 2-10, Miss State 5-7 (Great coaching in that game btw). We have better talent than those teams.

The problem is most people on both sides of this see things only in extremes. Its not a matter of Zero talent or nothing but first rounders. Great coaching or some dude from the stands can do better.

Look at LaFell. Was great for us, but no team would touch him until the middle of the 3rd round. Same for Jones. We still have lots of talent and they are "good", but not great pro prospects based on their development.

Bingo! Even Scouts said LaFell had 1st rd talent but bad attitude and work ethic.

Now shouldnt that have been addressed and corrected by a good coach in the years he was at LSU?

That says it all. The coaches developed a 3 star with no work ethic into a pretty good player. People have no one to blame Lafell on his 3rd round except for himself. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink and if the kid dont wanna work then thats his own fault.

Lafell went in the 3rd for 3 reasons:
Not to mention Lafell was a 3* coming out of high-school so you could make a case for him developing nicely. Also, if you look at the draft grades at nfl.com, his grade was better than many taken in the 2nd round but teams also draft based on need...not just talent.

2005 SEC Recruiting Rankings
#4 Tennessee - 27 players signed
#10 Georgia - 19 players signed
#13 Auburn - 21 players signed
#15 Florida - 18 players signed
#18 Alabama - 32 players signed
#22 LSU - 13 players signed
#23 South Carolina - 28 players signed
#24 Arkansas - 24 players signed
#30 Ole Miss - 27 players signed
#33 Miss state - 27 players signed

These are the players that composed the senior class this year, and this crop of NFL-eligible players. Look at these rankings, and the fact that in 2005, LSU signed half as many players as everyone else, and tell me that we have the "best raw talent" in the country. The fact of the matter is, due to this draft class, we were thin and young in several positions, and certainly not far and away more talented than our competitors.

Come on now, you know we have more talent than any team outside the Saints.

We were more talented than Bama and Florida combined last season.

If we had but signed any coach other then Miles in 2005, we would have been in 5 straight BCS games and have 3 NC.

If we win, it's only cause of our talent and if we lose it's only cause of our coaching.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling and the ONLY way to save our self from doom is to fire the coach with the best 5 year winning percentage in our history 3 seasons after he won a NC.

You people amaze me. How can you say that Miles wins on talent alone, and then turn around and say that LSU has no talent because no one was drafted in the first 2 rounds? Then how is LSU still winning? Because, beieve it or not, there were 9 other teams in the league wishing to have a better record that LSU last season.

Watch it...logic is not welcome here.
