I know we fired Les the year before Frost's undefeated season, but he just seems like the exact guy we should have gone after.

But I guess "the search" really did just make Herman one offer and then throw up all over himself

Yes, that's pretty much what happened.

Snow Peas puked up pea green "Exorcist" vomit on himself.

No Herman. No Frost. No Kiffin. No Fleck. No Mullen. No Fedora. No Norval. No Aranda.

Just lots of spicy gumbo filled with Bubba Gump shrimp.

He was born in Nebraska and went to school at Nebraska and now he is the Head Coach at Nebraska. He was probably born with a Red arse with an N on it.

Frost was 6-7 at UCF in 2016. You think that made him a viable candidate?

This x 1000. Not every coach LSU would consider would reciprocate. It’s really difficult aka expensive to pull an established coach from a P5 conference. Georgia couldn’t do it. Texas couldn’t do it. TAMU managed to do it but they mortgaged their future on a declining coach who by and large wore out his welcome at FSU. LSU’s best bet is finding an up and comer at a non P5 school taking a chance on an establish coordinator at a P5 school

With two years as OC/QB Coach at Oregon, where it was unclear how much responsibility he had as a playcaller and gameplanner.

He's a no brainer for Nebraska, doesn't make him a no brainer for LSU. Would have been a pretty tough sell for Alleva after one losing season as a HC and barely anything else on the resume.

Of course we did.

No stone left unturned.

There was a guy on here saying we really should be looking hard at Frost. This was before his undefeated season and right after we fired Miles.

People were reluctant because he didn’t have much experience as HC He’s exactly what we could have used to change the offensive culture. I just want a HC that is a sharp x and o’s guy.

Compared to a guy who won 10 games in 3 seasons? Yeah.

No idea. It's a great reaction gif for when someone goes off on a crazy rant though.

While I agree with your post, I would have to disagree with this last statement. The formula for success at LSU is to hire a P5 coach that is a proven winner at a mid tier program. That's where LSU should start its next search.
