Did Les Miles ruin Leonard Fournettes pro career?

Maybe this is common knowledge to those that are closer to the LSU Football program, but I've seen a couple interviews lately discussing how Les Miles worked out the team way too hard in preparation for the day that can't be named.
I know Fournette wasn't with that team, but I've been hearing this a lot lately. LSU's training camps were conspicuously physical under Les Miles. And LSU, during the Les Miles Era, had a ton of injuries occur during training camp. In fact, if I remember correctly, Fournette sustained a high ankle sprain in training camp prior to the 2016 season.
Fournettes career in the NFL never really materialized, and if anybody had the build to play running back in the NFL it was Leonard Fournette.
It appears, from the outside looking in, that BK has been very intentional in protecting players from injury this year. I just wonder if Les Miles had protected his stars better, during training camp, would Leonard Fournette have had a better pro career.

He’s still playing. He has a super bowl ring. He’s a good RB

Leonard was a first round pick, is making $7 million a year playing in the NFL and has a Super Bowl ring to top it all off. If only we could all be so unfortunate.

Fournette has been solid since he got out of Jacksonville. I'm honestly surprised to see the success Derrick Henry has had in terms of stats. Really thought Fournette would be the more productive player in the NFL

No. And you point to a sprained ankle in 2016 as how? Not to mention he’s still a starting running back on a super bowl winning team 6 years later. His NFL career would have to be ruined first to ponder why

I'm talking about his production.

He definitely ran him straight through the fricking ringer both mentally and physically in his time at LSU. No one should ever question how much Leonard loves LSU considering he had to sit in the locker room every Saturday night for 3 years and lace up his cleats knowing he was about to run at 8+ man boxes in the SEC with dudes winding up and gunning for his head on every. single. play with absolutely no support or game plan.
The reality of that situation would suck and I’m sure it took a toll on him to some degree. I really can’t decide if Les was really that stupid and hardheaded which is hard to believe, or if he was just a total masochist dick who thought it was cool to let his RB’s get fed through a meat grinder.

He’s been in the NFL for 6 years and you think he still hasn’t recovered from Les’ practices?

Who knows what his career would look like without Jacksonville.
Fun fact: Fournette carried that pitiful franchise within a game of the Super Bowl. Then they cut him.

Wtf are you talking about?

Leonard Fournette signed a three year, $21 million contract with the Buccaneers. According to Pro Football Talk, $9 million is fully guaranteed at signing with $11 million guaranteed for injury. If Fournette is on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2023 league year he will earn another $2 million in full guarantees for 2023.
I swear some of y’all don’t even watch football

What a load of crap! Fournette had tons of running room at LSU.

I’d blame the Jags being a dumpster fire over Les

Lol. Some of you fricking people.
Les ran Lenny straight into a top 5 NFL draft pick. Woe is Buga.

No. Fournette is not shifty enough to be elite in the NFL. He’s good though. He can hit a hole hard and has break away speed when he’s up and running, but he’s not good when the primary hole is plugged.

Didn’t coach o make up the majority of head coached games that fournette played in?
Damn I wrote that in a weird way lol

I wish like all of us he could've hit the league and lived up to the Adrian Peterson comparisons, but I'd blame the Jags more than Les. Fournette still had his speed when he entered the league he just wasted his prime in a terrible situation.

No, Les was coach for Fournette’s first 2 seasons and the first 4 of his junior year.
He sat out a few of the games where O was the interim. Guice actually led the team in rushing that year.

He certainly didn’t ruin his paycheck

Lol, he has had a better career than Bo Jackson. 2 season at over 1500 total yards and was a top 5 RB in the league at the time of his injury last year. He averages 112 ypg from scrimmage in the playoffs, and has a Super Bowl ring. Go so some research.
