One doesn’t have to be a mechanic to recognize when a vehicle runs bad; or a baker to know when cake tastes like shite…

You sure about that? You really think the tards on The Rant will be happy with a bunch of 12/16 195yd wins? You know as well as I do, they're expecting Burrowesque numbers, and anything less is a failure on Jd's part.

So football fans can't observe changes in throwing motions? I think majority of college football fans can see changes in throwing motions and discuss it buddy it's not something you'd need 20+ years of football knowledge to understand

I mean, the experts will tell you that Patrick Mahommes has bad mechanics, but it seems to be working out well for him. Mechanics isn’t everything.

They can DV all they want but you are correct… to a point anyway. It takes a long time develop habits that are not naturally ingrained.
I would say his biggest growth will be in knowledge of the offense and defense reading from all the off season reps and studying. Mechanics will come with time but live fire is totally different from practice reps

I went to bed really sad last night, that no one got the joke. The rant had let me down.

I woke up this morning and the rant has redeemed itself.

QBs of a specific demographic are always labeled as inconsistent.

You’re pretty shitty to paint it as a race issue. Most posters here freely state Nuss has been inconsistent and said the same when warranted about Johnson, Brennan, et al. GFY.

don't know why you're getting downvoted, because it's VERY hard to make a big change to your throwing motion after you've been throwing that way your whole life.

Tebow is the best example. He knew he needed to change his throwing motion, and I'm sure worked on it for thousands of hours -- but it didn't work, because it's not natural for him after throwing with his poor motion for 20 years.

I hope Jayden is different, but it's a very hard thing to do, at this point.

I was looking closely at his and Nuss’s throwing motion on first couple days of practice and both looked good/compact/quick but Daniels definitely brings the ball down lower than Nuss.

He was inconsistent last year.

Which makes consistent criticism undue. Commentary disproportionate to the performance is undue. If he was good some of the time and shaky some of the time, then the commentary should be good some of the time and shaky some of the time. Many posters here are critical of Daniels' performance at a much higher rate than his actual rate of poor performance. Hence, "undue".

True. But when one begins commenting on why the cake tastes like shite and how the recipe can be or has been improved to fix the problem, that's when the lack of baking credentials becomes suspect.

I was going to post this same thing. Apparently in the BLM era, they immediately assume the worst. Little do they know, we will have George Floyd school colored turf next season. It will never be ready in time!

My thing is we've had 3 transfer QBs in the past that improved from their first year. Noticeable improvement at that. Mett, Etling, and Burrow all had their first years to varying degrees of success but unequivocally their 2nd years in the system were all improvements from their first years. And it just makes sense because landing in unknown territory in the middle of the summer with teammates you don't know, it's going to take time to gel. Having that season and another full offseason with your guys and coaching staff generally makes you better.

With as much of the offense returning and continuity of the coaching staff, I find it hard to believe Daniels can't show improvement in year 2 of the system. I sincerely believe we're going to see a great show this year.
