Did Jayden Daniel's change his throwing mechanics?

Is it me or does his release look different to anyone else?
I can't really say for certain, but it looks like a more compact motion.

Yes it’s much more compact and a lot quicker now. Also his footwork looks more polished.

Probably. He didn’t come back just to win. He came back to get better and position himself to become a higher draft pick. Had a whole offseason with much better QB coaches to work on refining stuff like that.

I remember Burrow saying that what he worked on most between the 2018 and 2019 seasons was polishing up the little things. Footwork, throwing on the move, etc.

I was just talking to my family about this yesterday. It definitely looks like his mechanics have changed for the better. It sure looks to be more compact and the ball hasn’t seemed to knuckle on him from what film they’ve released to the public.

Coaches said he put in a bunch of work in the off-season, wouldn’t be surprised if he adjusted his motion. I haven’t seen anything side by side to be able to say so for certain

Yep, it looks like he shortened up his delivery. Little things like that can help get the ball out on time which he struggled with at times last year.

Jayden was a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy and he was tutored by this Penn State QB Chad Powers. Incredible transformation in footwork and arm mechanics and his ball placement improved greatly.
