Why? Jefferson is listed behind Chark on the depth chart releases before the game. The coaches have been extremely high on him. Stevens isn't even on the depth chart right now.

Maybe he's still learning the offense then?

If not then the move to WR might not have been the best one, there was some opportunity for PT for him on defense given how much rotation the D had last night

I have no idea why Stevens didn't play (if this is even true in the first place) but to say "something was up" because Jefferson played and he didn't means you don't follow this team very closely. Jefferson is ahead of him on the depth chart. Plain and simple. Apparently Jefferson has been very impressive.

Not sure how anyone can say Stevens is a better option at receiver than Jefferson given that Jefferson is second string and Stevens isn't even listed.

Stevens was still a DB in the spring, so he doesn't have any advantage over Jefferson as far as experience in the offense.

Should've stayed at safety. He and netherly are the only WRs that didn't play

I know why Jefferson played ahead of Stevens. It's simple. Ed O knew that a Jefferson would have to play in that game in order to fully reverse the curse.

Maybe because he (Jefferson) runs great routes.

I think when we see the game plan go more spread than power you'll see Stevens in there instead of those TEs.

I was told that CEO said they are not necessarily playing the most athleticly gifted WRs they are playing the WRs that consistently catch the ball. Maybe Stevens is having the dropsies in practice.

He just transitioned to receiver essentially a month ago. Give it some time, the guys that played over him were more prepared to play. I'm sure as the season goes on we will see him start to earn some snaps.
