I was in HS then and trying to remember the last time I saw snow on NYE / NYD. I lived in BR at the time and trying to remember if BR got snow but pretty sure NOLA did for fans exiting the game. I now live in Austin and it's snowing now and supposed to overnight. Can anyone aid my fading memory?

Yes. I had to drive to Houston after the game and they closed the miss river bridge. I had to take the old bridge. There was ice all over the road.

I don’t think it snowed but the Bridges did freeze. We almost didn’t make it back to Lafayette driving back on Hwy 90. Cars on bridges were sliding all over the place.

Can’t remember. Do remember beating Kurt Kitner and that Illini arse though. Fun night in the dome.

You are correct. I had just graduated from LSU a couple weeks before that and remember going out in the parking lot of my apartment complex to watch the snow after enjoying a huge Tiger win!

I remember walking out of Superdome and ramp being very slick. I don’t remember if it snowed in New Orleans but I think I remember snow on the ground the next day in Baton Rouge. May have been snowing as the game ended and everyone was walking out.

Thanks for the info guys. I feel like this is a good omen for tomorrow. I remember sleet / winter precip but was trying to recall if I witnessed snow in Baton Rouge

It snowed. Drive to BR and it snowed on bumper to bumper traffic all the way.

Drove back to BR the next morning. It definitely snowed. If I recall correctly part of I10 was shut down and we had to exit near Gonzales.

Yep. I was 10. Me and my dad went to the game and I fell asleep on the way back to BR. He woke me up when we got to our neighborhood and I was amazed. First time I ever saw snow. Memorable night for sure.

We were checking out of the hotel the morning after with some Illinois people next to us and the couldn't understand why the whole state shut down with a little sleet.
