That’s a silly thing to say…..underwood played in an overmatched non-competitive game. Nussmeier played against a top 5 team in a hostile environment with numerous future NFL players trying to stop him.
Not even a logical comparison

Just because he didnt sign with LSU, doesn't mean you have to hate on the kid.

Don’t have to, but kinda want to. I really don’t care if he’s successful. I just want his team to suck and for Dave Portnoy to stub his toe every morning.

I don’t understand this hope that Underwood fails. The kid made the right decision. You can’t pass up that kind of money.

weird obsession with him being a bust

Wanting him to be a cautionary tale to those who chase $$$ is not a "weird obsession". I want him to be successful-selling Insurance after a mediocreplayingcareer!

Way too early to talk about his ceiling, but I think his floor is relatively high. Everything I’ve read about his maturity and work ethic tells me that, short of major injury, he isn’t going to be a bust. Doesn’t mean he’s going to win the heisman or get drafted in the first round, but he’s likely to at least be a solid college QB with upside from there.

I know its a troll, but Underwood didnt have any competition last week. Nuss was in a playoff type atmosphere.

Obliviously he’s pretty damn good we already knew that. Him going to another school doesn’t diminish that

I don’t blame underwood for taking the money they offered but he put LSU in a bad spot at the time given we weren’t recruiting other QBs and it was close to signing day. He was as solid a commitment as you could be so you didn’t suspect he was going to flip by everything he did and said for well over a year since him commitment to us. But that’s recruiting these days.

I’m not actively hating on him especially if he does poorly as a true freshman. But I’m also not rooting for him to be successful. At least he didn’t flip to a school we play every year.
