LSU would crush SLU on their best day. No question. SLU won their conference championship last year. McNeese hired away their coach, and she brought almost the entire team with her. New coach arrives with only just 1 scholarship athlete still there. Completely new team. That’s a recipe for what happened last night.

The number of people that feel the need to comment in a thread they care least about.

Pathetic "Softball Nikki" and the pitiful "Fighting Torina's" lost to Southeastern TWICE to get their butts booted from the Regionals to end last season. Softball Pumptard MA's were up in here making excuses for that abomination too. So we beat SELAJC@Hammond in WBB. Big Whoop.

I watched the game last night and then Kim's post game press conference. Obviously it's hard to tell how this team will perform against SEC level competition this early, considering the non-conference opponents. However, what you CAN see is that this is a VERY talented, albeit young, team. I like the upgrade at center with Koval. I LOVE the freshmen class, and Mikaylah Williams looks like she's in the best shape of her life. I can see this team making the final four, just off of what I've seen. Only time will tell, however................................................

Knox, Johnson, and Hines all look really good. We know what we have in returning starters Johnson and Williams. Fulwiley is capable of scoring a lot of points and her defense has been very good. Kovall is certainly a welcome addition and can be really good in the paint for us. Final Four is a definite possibility. Playing three true freshman one of whom starts and a true sophomore isn't ideal, but these players will be very good.

Sports at LSU mostly lose money. Football makes a buttload and MBB makes some. EVERY OTHER SPORT loses millions including baseball.

WBB is about to enter a new media contract and our WBB program, which gets almost nothing from ESPN/ABS will start getting several million. PLUS the NCAA Ty will now share revenue with teams as they advance in the NCAA Ty. If LSU continues as an Elite Eight team or even better, LSUWBB will get big money for that.

Revenue-wise, WBB in the SEC and NCAA is on a big rise due to tv ratings and interest.

They still lose money.

Geez. So does the library, bookstore and Union. It's a University.

Mulkey should be embarrassed to schedule the absolute creampuffs she does in the early season. They are so boring.
