Not one to make a post about an animal but Daisy Mae is an exception. Devin posted on his Snapchat today that his heart was broken followed by tons of pictures and videos of him and his beloved horse Daisy Mae. Anyone know if maybe she was injured or died?

Confirmed Daisy Mae did pass away! RIP Daisy and prayers for DWhite!

Damn, doesn’t sound good. I haven’t spent much time around horses but apparently they’re like dogs in that you can form a genuine connection.

Damn that's really sad. I used to be cold hearted and would say it's just a damn animal until my dog passed after 13 years. Still miss that guy and nothing has been able to replace him.

That is unfortunate but surprised it happened, did he not pay for care? was there negligence etc? not blaming him just curious if this was a result of improper care. Also, DW being in Tampa for camp etc I am assuming he was paying for her care.

He has made post within the last few days back home in Louisiana with family and Daisy too. I assume he is home. I can promise you DWhite did not neglect that horse. Now maybe she got overheated on a ride or something but it definitely wasn’t intentional if so and she wasn’t the 1st horse to do so even under care of good people! Maybe she had a rare condition we will never know but we do know how much she meant to him

The good news for him in that is if he wants another horse, hes in the right place. Lots of equine facilities in the central Florida area.

The video of him with Daisy on LSU campus was a highlight reel like no other.
D White gave a great example of true class in handling her and being proud of her.
Losing an animal that you have bonded with is a punch to the gut like no other.
Condolences, Devin. RIP Daisy Mae.

Cynics say what you want, but there is far more going on , far more of a spiritual connection between man and animal, then people realize. My dog, my constant companion, is in my heart like any person would be. I am able to intellectually differentiate, but my heart feels what it feels.

Maybe it had something to do with carrying around a linebacker all the time.......
