Peyton Manning did it and like one poster said he could get a $20 million policy but I wonder the stipulations and premium on such a policy

Man I hope this isn’t true! I luv me some Devin White he is a true LSU Tiger through and through and if you have a young son playing this game you should use Devin White as a player your son should emulate from on field to off field! And I love how he isn’t abandoning his teammates to play in the Fiesta Bowl that is how it should be “yes that is a shot at you Greedy”

But Devin you have too much to risk to play college football next year! You will be a top 5 pick with the possibility of making roughly 4 or 5 million per year! At middle linebacker playing an entire season there is just too much risk of injury when playing middle linebacker especially when all you can possibly gain in the draft is a couple of spots and your downside should you get hurt is tremendous.

With regards to playing for a championship with you on the field it is tremendous, but let’s be realistic we aren’t going to beat Bama right now even if you play especially since we have to play there next season. I am being realistic not being a homer. Hell I want us to win but that isn’t going to happen until Saban leaves.

Go earn your rewards for being one of the greatest Tigers in LSU history, you deserve it and all Tiger fans will love and support you even more than Leonard Fournette because you decided to play in the last game of the season unlike LF and Greedy!!!!

Look douchebag fans if the dude wants to return stop bashing that decision, you people are insufferable. Money dont rule everyone some people have personal goals that aren't financially motivated. It's possible he loves playing in college and hasn't achieved what he set out to accomplish personally and wants another shot at it. Once you go pro every dream you had in college if not achieved ate over. Respect his decision either way

Who is bashing him?

All people are saying is objectively it makes the most sense for him to declare. But only he knows what his goals and motivations are. He'll have my respect either way, but if I was advising him, I'd tell him to declare.

Nobody is bashing him. And nobody will bash him if he returns. Pointing out it would not be a smart decision for him to return does not equal bashing him.

Is Devin wants to come back for his Senior year, can we just as fans, shut up, let it happen and support the best LSU football news in years?

Trouble is finding a company to do it and getting through underwriting. The problem is proving his earnings potential and agreeing to a value with the insurance company.

Lloyd's is the only company I can think of that would even have a discussion about it.

I'm sure it's pretty common. I also believe the schools can pay these policies as well, so it doesn't cost White anything.

If he comes back and plays like Devin white plays he will be a top 5 pick the next draft so he wont be "missing" out.

I think it's common for a few million, not twenty.

LITERALLY EVERYONE KNOWS ITS NOT THE RIGHT BUSINESS DECISION.

But we want him back so stop trying to pretend like youre better than everyone by pointing out the freaking obvious and acting like you would not be happy and excited if he comes back.

No he won't. Inside LBs typical aren't flying off draft boards that early. He can go anywhere from 5-32, depending on what team needs that position most and when they are drafting.

Or he finds a team who drafts based player available, regardless of needs. He will almost certainly be listed as the best player available from the top 5 on. Doesn't mean he is drafted right away though.

That is the case this season, and if he returns his best case for next season is exactly the same. That is why you see people saying he should go.

People are just acting like they are better than others that do want him back because they "care more about him and arent selfish fans"

Trust me, everyone wants him back...

And what if he gets injured? Or he doesn't have a great year? He'd be gambling the small chance his stock rises with a greater chance it falls. If he was your son, what would you tell him to do?

A bird in the hand and all...

Yeah, that is a possibility. To go that route, one must really want to stay in school. The much more reasonable answer is to declare. But I'll respect him either way.
