It's over and done with why are you all going back and forth and not proud about what the team accomplished?

Come on man. You can't say they didn't play hard just because we lost.

And personally, I think it would be almost miraculous if nobody had anything negative to say after a loss like that ... where nothing you tried worked. It is frustrating. If we heard no bitching, that would be weird.

Players have to put faith in the plan that is given to them, and trust in the preparation. I imagine by halftime this was on disillusioned group and surprised they haven't been more negative. They handled it well.

You still don't "get it." It's so easy for you to turn on the players and absolve the coach, who is 100% responsible for what you saw on Jan 9th

when did i "absolve" the coach. he's just as responsible as anyone else. but 100%? did you not see the o-line get man-handled? false starts?

It didn't look to me no one was trying, it looked to me they were totally frustrated with the shitty plan and lack of adjustments.

ofcourse it did....because you just laid 100% of the blame on the coaching staff.

Gawd dammit.... i told myself i wasn't going to talk about this shite anymore. kiss my arse and this thread is stupid.

LSU's scheme played into the hands of Bama's strength and never waivered. Shitty job by the staff.

It was 100% on the staff. The guys in crimson on the other side were much better coaches that day, the month prior. Worst job of preparing an LSU team for a big game I have ever seen.

The players trust what they are sweating out every day in practice is worth it, because they have to trust the staff. Turns out they were let down.

BLUF: JJ sucked and Miles sucked for starting him the last 4-5 games.

Now we must wait for the fall to soothe our pain!

"Finish Strong" should be the motto for next year's team!

No chit!!

Lets forget the effort put out by this team to go 13-1 by beating teams that finished the year ranked #1, #4, #5, #18, #20 and lets forget the effort required by this team to go 9-0 in the SEC and lets forget this team having the best regular season in LSU history...but lets moan and whine like a spoiled 2 yr old cause they failed in one game.

Having the honor of playing in a BCSCG comes to few schools, but its come to LSU 3 times since 2003. As a fan of LSU for longer than 10 years, I never thought I would live to see this type of remarkable, remarkable success for our program.

I'm disappointed that we got stuffed on the 9th, but lord have mercy...this was a great, great season and a great, great time to be a Tiger football fan.

Others case do as they please, but I'm gonna thank this team for giving me another elite season of college football and forgive they for the sin of not being perfect like us fans.

No one is forgetting it. It's the last game played that and the way it was played that caused pain.

We all saw the team that went 13-0. The one that showed up on Jan 9th wasn't nearly as well prepared as that one.

If you have a chance, catch Mo Claiborne's comments on the news tonite about Miles and LSU.
Mo says Miles is a "great coach, on and off the field...I owe so much to him and [Chavis]".
Says LSU will be great fo ryears to come.
Class act compared to some...
Not all players are leaving on bad terms

Then, why has the SEC title been labeled as meaningless and the season called ruined by some?

quote:

It's the last game

Yes, but the importance of that last game doesn't blind me to the importance of the 1st 13 needed to even get to #14.

Each to our own, but after 2 week of crying over the loss and calling out this LSU guy and that LSU guy I'm going to celebrate one of the greatest seasons in LSU history.

Hey, I'm as pissed as anybody about the play-calling but tell me exactly how Miles "put himself ahead of the program and university".

He was hell bent and determined to prove that his evaluation of JJ was correct; in spite of the results off the field, in the weight room, in the locker room, in the huddle, and on the field. It was the classic ponzi scheme. All of his chips were on JJ to prove he was right and the critics were wrong.

Who is doing this? Probably 1% of the fan base? The loss was a horrific embarassment and certianly tainted the season, but didn't render it meaningless. LSU is still SEC champs. I argued the merit of the SEC championship long before the rematch with Bama was aussured and long after.

The 2011 Senior Class: Finishes 41-12, with an SEC Western Division & SEC Championship Game win. They won more games every year they were on campus (8, 9, 11 & 13). They played in 4 bowl games, finishing 2-2. That one game for them was the pinnacle of their career, unfortunately, & its difficult to get that bad taste out of your mouth. But time is the only salve for those types of wounds. Some will remember it bittersweetly. Some will remember it fondly. Some will let it poison the well forever. I feel sorry for those that can't let it go & enjoy their accomplishment, regardless of whether we failed in the last game of the year.

This is the correct perspective.
