Exactly. No doubt he was very good in basketball, too. Athletes of his caliber are usually good in multiple sports & as a 5 star recruit all he's ever heard is how great he is. To a large degree this falls back on his parents & then, of course, his "agents". This quote from a coach, in the paper over the weekend, says a lot of what his attitude problem is : " he was playing defense & he knocked the ball / WR down. He was standing over him, staring him down and DID NOT HELP HIS TEAMMATE UP". He was immediately sent to the sidelines.

Tak and I had improv acting together at LSU. We went to Bogies together a few times. Had a great time. That dude is hilarious.

That's not a mental illness. That's called entitlement.

LSU could be without its top transfer Denver Harris for some time as the five-star cornerback faces a possible suspension stemming from his involvement in a fight that broke out at practice. Sonny Shipp of Geaux247 reported that Harris “had a pretty big role in the fight” that took place at practice before nearly instigating the issue further afterward in the locker room. Shipp added that time away from the LSU program is expected for Harris.

Harris reportedly did not practice Monday or Tuesday and was noticeably absent from the LSU team photo recently posted by the Tigers. LSU head coach Brian Kelly is expected to address reporters on Wednesday.

Harris ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect and No. 2 cornerback in the 2023 transfer portal cycle. LSU also owns the nation's No. 2 ranked transfer class with 14 newcomers.

LSU beat reporter Wilson Alexander of Nola.com detailed a fight that occurred during practice on Monday, Aug. 7, stating, “punches thrown, guys taken to the ground, multiple people involved. … Brian Kelly was not happy.”

this is the part that makes no sense, I thought the whole reason to do this in a game is to get the crowd going get ur teammates hyped up/intimidate the other team, doing it in practice vs ur own team isn't gonna make the coaches think, dang u see how he stood over him lets move him up the depth chart. practice is for getting better not trying to show up ur teammates even tho ik it can get competitive in there but this is just excessive

Standing over someone after a tackle is a penalty.

Honestly, sounds like the guy needs some therapy/counseling more than anything.

Isn't there a team psychologist? Seems like even though it's a sports psychologist, they would be able to drill down to the root of the problem.

He made sure to mention that he was only late by “one or two minutes” multiple times.

When Kelly took on this project, I'm sure he knew there would be growing pains. You don't just take on someone that undisciplined (guy got suspended from a team where there was no discipline) and expect him to show up on day 1 and be a shining example of leadership. It very very rarely works like that. He's taking the military approach. You break them down completely then build them back up. If he becomes a complete detriment to the team, you cut bait, but this was always going to be a project. Not one you want too many of, but this one could pay dividends if you can get him aligned.

He got his information from Jordy

Obviously not. Jordy said this morning he has no idea if Harris is still with the team. Mahtook says he is. So He's getting it from some place else. And he's not an established insider in the LSU football world so I don't trust him yet.

That said, if Harris wasn't on th team anymore, there would be a formal statement to that effect already.

Don't think so. Kelly said he would address the media tomorrow. That's all we get.

He’s on the team still as in he’s on “ the Roster”. He has to complete some things before he returns. If he doesn’t complete the tasks that were assigned to him then he’s done.

I was honestly worried about that a few times last year and had hoped the staff would work with HP with the standing on top of his tackled opponents staring at them.

This every time it happened.

If Harris is doing this in practice, it'll be 10x worse in a game and it would definitely draw a flag.

Kelly said the only way he can come back is if he walks uptown to the Bronx and gets breast milk from a Cambodian immigrant. And then he’s gotta take a picture with a midget holding these balloons.

hen you grow up getting preferential treatment, normal treatment seems like disrespect. That is the problem in a nutshell. The fact that he has nowhere else to go may be the determining factor in him turning it around but as Alfred said in Batman/Joker movie "there are some who just want to watch the world burn"

This^^

Some people can't take criticism or coaching. Some people are just jealous of other people's accomplishments and feel they are entitled the same without accomplishing. It's called entitlement, and it will never gain you the reward that hard work will get you.

Behaving in such a manner is bush league. No place for it in sport. Any sense of decorum has been long abandoned.
