I don't think Pete or Johnson are bad coaches/hires but they are both a little questionable. One's old as hell and was retired for 10 years. The other was promoted as a Ga (which is rare for a top tier program)

No he got whacked because he was the anti-Midas, anything they put him in charge of went to shite. In the first game of the O era, he still stuck with that utterly retarded angle kick off and of course it went out of bounds. I think BDP's career here ended right there.

I have nothing against Dennis Johnson and I hope he does well but O needs recruiters and needs them badly. Aranda is the best defensive mind outside of Saban that I've ever seen. With that said he clearly isn't a big time recruiter. With the talks of Juluke being let go, Craig possibly being Oregons next OC, letting go BDP and not hiring a SPT coach O is doing pretty shitty at hiring the shadow staff he spoke of.

Our ST play sucked all season -- even after Peveto got moved off ST midway through the season and even in the bowl game with Bobby April on board. How is promoting a GA better than keeping Peveto at OLB?

Did the LBs not perform well this season? Johnson had a hand in coaching them up so why not give him a shot at a full time position?

He was taken off of LB responsibility before he was let go though. After O was made interim, Peveto was ST only. I think.
