Would you have said this after 2022
Was lsu offense the best in the sec in 2022 and the defense the worst in the sec in 2022?

You can’t spin this man. The top sec offense is losing its coordinator. The worst sec defense is keeping its coordinator. That’s not opinions. That’s just a factual statement on what is happening. On paper it’s a massive failure

Not spinning anything, but I am a fan of sample sizes.

Elite offensive systems do not take a year off, and 2022 was a year off. When you saw how great an amazing offense can be in 2023 with a generational ad-libber, which is partly immune to good and/or bad play calling. But somehow Denbrock got it wrong in 2022. I’m not even sure I want to see that guy with Nussmeier & green WRs

The offense lost them games in 2022 vs winning them games in 2023. And other games like ARK, complete ineptness

Wikipedia has him at ND already:

Michael Fredrick Denbrock (born January 29, 1964) is an American football coach. He is the offensive coordinator at Notre Dame.

So you think Nuss and the offense will be better off with a brand new OC and not a guy rolling into year 3 coming off two years in which his offense was top 5 in the sec in yards and points? I think you are trying to sell that thought to yourself

This makes sense for Denbrock. Good for him. He’s elite when he has his pieces in place. Dual threat w/strong enough arm. Sloan is the obvious pick imo

You have two spectacular coaches in Sloan and Hankton. Allegedly, both have OC aspirations. Kelly has his chess match laid out for him… if he promotes one, how do you keep the other?

I hate it for LSU fans, but I wish him the best of luck. Coaches are hired to be fired, so when you have things going your way, you have to take advantage of it.

I'm sure there are plenty of great offensive minds out there that would jump at coming to LSU, so we should be find. I'm sure CBK didn't just find this out, so I'm sure he's already talking to several coaches.

I just hope no one brings Joe Brady's name up. IMO, he was given way too much credit for our success than he deserved and we need to move on and find a good, young OC that has a proven record of success and will want to be at LSU for a few years.

I’m not selling myself on anything. I’m not talking myself into that, but certainly acknowledge it could be possible, just given how much Jayden & his running abilitywas the engine behind everything working.

And This Top 5 SEC offense is a meaningful superlative all of a sudden ? 2022 was an arse year for QB play in the conference. Who do you think you are trying to fool ?

Sloan was OC at LA Tech for a few years.

Mainly in title though. Skip Holtz ran the offense and called plays.

Joe’s a good coach though and great recruiter. He’d be great OC. He’s paid his dues

Just like Joe Brady our QB was the secret to that offense.

Also opens up a coaching spot. Guessing that is used on the defensive side of the ball and we end up with either 2 coaches for DBs or two coaches for DL
Who's going to coach TEs? Doesn’t look like it opens a coaching spot since Denbrock coached TEs while being the OC.

When we kept Denbrock from going to A&M I didn’t see you or anyone else saying “damn, I was really hoping he would leave”…….

I don't know if I believe that. I think Sloane and Kelly are much more important than Denbrock is for Underwood. I just don't see Denbrock's leaving being the deciding factor for Underwood. I could be wrong.
