If O ever mismanages the clock, I highly doubt you’ll have such a laissez faire attitude about it.

Please list the areas you think LSU will be better in 2018 than they were in 2017. Position by position will suffice.

we just fired a coach that was an elite recruiter,a great motivator that had questionable game day coaching
Yeah, the team looked super motivated in the 2012 championship.

We didn’t look too motivated for the first 6.25 games this year.

The entire front 7 on defense stands to improve as a unit
Offensive line should also be improved overall as a unit
WR will *likely be improved as a unit but jury is still out
We drop off at RB and CB
Improve at safety position
QB position is unknown at this point

At least they got there.
We don't have to worry about looking unmotivated in the NC anymore, if we don't get there.

Based on what? Losing 6 players off of the two deep?
Lacouture
Gilmore
Herron
Key
Alexander
Thompson

So, not a given. Push.

So, a regression.

Agree

Agree
So, let's break it down:
QB - Push
RB - Worse
WR - Better
TE - Better
OL - Push
DL - Push
LB - Worse
CB - Worse
S - Better
The only way someone can say this team should be "better" is by blatantly ignoring the roster issues. Combine this with the fact that the schedule is much, much tougher in 2018 and you seriously think LSU is going to improve?

LSU never ran out of clock inside the opponents 5-yard line once. With Les you could pretty much count on it happening - just like in the last game he coached at LSU.
I’m gonna step in and say this is pretty much BS. I have Yet to see any team get a snap off on a running clock with 1 second left and no TO

He can sell other people's programs. His own, not so much.
He had the #7 recruiting class last year after being the full time head coach for just over 2 months.
Seems like a hell of a selling job to me.

Miles put most of that class together my friend.
Though O did his best to destroy it by offering Tua who everyone knew was never coming here.

It’s almost like most of that class was already there...
I will give him credit for keeping them on board, but his first full class was disappointing for a guy who brings little else to the table.

Takes a good deal of pessimism to come up with these 3
How is the LB group going to get worse in your opinion?

Let's not try to pretend that it wasn't absolutely horrible under Miles though
His clock mismanagement blunders cost us multiple games
That's the thing the poster seems to be missing. He keeps posting screen shots of where coaches had clock gaffes. But, it is usually a one-off deal for those guys.
If you do a simple search with Les Miles and clock management you get pages and pages of results talking about the multiple times he cost his players victory by just not knowing what purpose a game and play clock served.
It would have been really funny if it didn't cost the LSU program wins and was so damn embarrassing.

QB- we have more talent at QB regardless of which one starts.
OL- our OL coach is a stud and we have 3 returning starters in Brumfield, Ingram, and Charles. We also add the number 1 Juco OT.
Not to mention, this group can’t do any worse than last year so it should definitely improve.
WR- we signed two 5 stars and actually have a WR coach regardless of his age. We also have plenty ofvreturning talent.
DL- we replace Lac and Gilmore who were serviceable but not great with Alexander and Fehoko. Plus we still have Lawrence. This group is a MAJOR upgrade.
ILB- we still have white and he’s another year smarter and better. Plus Taylor or Phillips will be a massive upgrade over Donnie Alexander. At times playing with 10 guys would have been better than having Donnie out there.
Safety- Delpit will be improved after a year of experience. Battle, Monroe, or Stevens will play the other spot and all 3 are pretty good with Stevens having the potential to be great. Their new Safeties coach will help develop them as well.
That’s 6 position groups where we will be better in 2018 than we were in 2017. The only spots where we take a step back are RB, OLB, and CB. Those groups aren’t devoid of talent either, they are just replacing extremely talented players.

And those are just the obvious ones
Having to burn a time out after a turnover or a punt or having a delay of game after a time out are the things that happen in the early and middle portions of the game that get lost in the shuffle but hurt the team's chances of securing a victory.

I can Think of two and both were 1 second running clocks with no timeouts. It’s almost impossible to get a play off in those circumstances.

Also have to consider Giles will be eligible
I think it's extremely likely that this group will be better than last year

Every upgrade you've noted is addition by subtraction. Basically, you hope the new players will be better, but don't actually know.
