DOTD found a hole in the deck of the bridge.
Hope thus doesn't affect LSU fans going to Senior Day. However, hope the Aggie fans get gridlocked.

Been one lane for about a week already. It was one laned last weekend for the game.
ETA: I believe they were working on the roadway when they found the hole under the pavement.

DOTD website says work should be finished by the 20th... I wasn't going to tell Aggies here about it. I did hear about it before getting to Lafayette last week and detoured on 49 and 190.

Drove by the repair tonight.

I commute the bridge everyday. It's been one lane for going on two weeks. Construction crew just got there today.

When I said the 20th that was the date specific to the hole in the deck that was found, not the competition of work that was going on before that. DOTD website might not be updated with the hole info and whole info.

I commute daily. it has been 1 lane for over a week and a half. adds an extra 45 minutes daily.. taking 190 adds 31 miles to my drive.... no win

yeah there is no good ALT route going East or West around that bridge. Getting up to 190 is a PITA.
