You mean the offer that was “tilted” toward the mom?

How was Wade going to “fund” Balsa since he responded to Dawkins by saying he can “get you what you need”?

They brought along a jacket and some caps, but the jacket was in the Mom's size. Turns out the kid wanted the jacket too.

Play with awesome talent
Play in your home city
Play 20+ minutes a game as a freshmen (even though he’s a 3 yr guy)

The most difficult part to explain will be about the middle man getting a piece of the pie. What tangible benefit would a middle man get from smart playing in Baton Rouge?

If his “guy” goes on and wins championships and goes to NBA it’s a good look on him

Oh look, Derek is siding with the enemy against Will Wade and LSU.

It's amazing how the O sycophants feel so threatened by the success of another LSU coach in a different sport and are jumping on the opportunity to diminish the success of Will Wade.

And I'm not an "O hater" or "N-word tiger" FWIW.

I bet your dumb arse is loving this.

Better believe that his O'loving tail has likely been pushing this left and right. Wade was taking the overinflated attention O has been getting away for a coach actually turning around a dumpster fire into a contender in two years that hasn't been excusing his failures left and right.

Are those better than rookie contract? It’s done. We should move on.

Wouldn't being able to see every home game of your son's career be a promising offer? Again, he stayed close to home and Mama was taken care of by being able to 1) watch her son play, 2) be able to see him a lot, and 3) be sure that he's being treated right.

That is a huge deal. The offer for a 2-3 year player could just as easily be about playing time as much as anything else given the make up of the team with Smart coming in. It had 2 established guards and at the time Sims being the big guard/small forward.

May there was something nefarious going on, but just having snippets of conversations released does not mean shite.

So you are using the "LSU linked Journalist" that is a freaking Kansas alum here?

I'm sure a KU Alum (university also linked to this dipshit) has nothing to gain with trying spread this message.

How could a 3rd party get a cut from playing time or a scholarship?

Seems to me the third party is mad he didn’t get what he wanted and Wade was outraged that they were willing to come back and ask for something. Wade was focused on the kid and his mom all along.

What if the next line in the transcript is Wade telling the guy to shove it up his @** and he’s only talking to the kid and his mom from here on out? Wade is in the clear. This was leaked with specific context for a specific purpose. They are trying to get Wade to publicly deny giving money which he won’t do.

That's plausible. The situation would have to be that he didn't want to send money to anyone and that he was outraged that a 3rd party was asking for money in exchange for steering the player towards him.

If that's the case he will be fine. He may be fine either way because its a sweater thread that nobody in basketball (NCAA or NBA) wants to pull.

NCAA hasn't targeted anyone as of now because they have not obtained the FBIs files to start investigating anyone.

So you're saying the NCAA also doesn't have the tapes reported on by Yahoo? If true, this would mean the leak of the tapes had to have come from the FBI.
