Columbia won the Ivy League bid

Thanks. I haven't been paying much attention at all to the 1-bid conferences. Otherwise my head might explode. Didn't know that Yale game was for the title.

Yeah, I just can't agree. We would effectively lose two more games. We'd probably have an RPI in the mid 40s.

Which would still be among the top half of remaining bubble teams. When you look at it compared to the rest of the SEC, its not the best. However, when you compare it to the other bubble teams (which is LSU's competition to get in) we are ok.

I think it was best of 3 and they swept 2-0. I saw on Warren Nolan they are now auto-bid in.

Thanks admins for giving me the first 3 post.

What is the highest RPI of an SEC team who had gone .500 or worse and received an at large bid.

Now you are digging past my pay grade. I guess you could use that to compare, but as a side note, I would say that this year isn't equal to other years. There is a wide gap between SEC and other confernces. Even more so than I can remember normally.
My hope is that the committe recognizes that and uses it to justify 11 SEC teams getting in, instead of going in with the mindset of only 9 or 10 SEC teams are getting in, period.

That's true. But, I think it's meaningful if what we are expecting is unprecedented.

Me too. But, I'd put it at less than .500.

Not exactly an answer to your question but some recent stats

Thanks for posting. I think from what we learned from that is that we don't know. It will depend on the individual year and what everybody else has done. I still think we are ok. Would be wonderful to finish this tournament at least 2-2 just to be more secure.

My tourney updates in post 1 have turned into a jumbled mess. I am going to let the games play out tonight and then clean it up a bit tomorrow, with a little more reader friendly update.

With Sam Houston losing tonight as the only team with a chance to get in an at-large, what are there at-large chances if they don't get the auto?
RPI: 56
SOS: 94
I don't see a way they are an at-large?

I don’t see Sam Houston getting in if they don’t auto bid. But it’s not impossible.

Garbage can Pitt joins Miami as a pair of potential bid thieves in the ACC semifinals.

Sam Houston was eliminated?
You can see how Sam Houston stacks up against the other bubble teams, as of this afternoon, in the third post of the thread.

Not eliminated yet but we know how tough it is to come out of the loser's bracket

I think the winner of Miami/Clemson goes to the ACC semifinals so Miami isn't there yet.

I hope not. Would be good for LSU if the Southland is a one bid league. Hopefully Sam Houston comes out of the tournament just to be safe.
