Traore is not quick enough for The Barn's edge rushers. Kevin Steele is salivating. Deculus is much more suited, and getting Charles back is big.

The Oline will be much better and much better prepared.

We have more of a chance now.

Compared to what we rolled out for the Oline last Sat, "we have a chance now".

Of course, you know that.

The offensive line should definitely be better. I just don't understand why it took a shitshow game for Dare to be moved. That should've happened when Ingram was suspended.

Getting Charles back will help. There is a reason Deculus was behind both Magee and Traore at RT. Just throwing in a different guy doesn’t necessarily mean there will be improvement.

The unspoken truth

If a player was a highly rated recruit and is third string and then comes in after our players above him suck, hes automatically a beast and will be an improvement. I do believe in Deculus though. Kid is huge and has some dog in him.

He wasn't too bad at left tackle against that competition. Both he and Traore are a little slow footed and that's the problem.

He may be quicker and a better pass protector, which is most important now. Must give 9 more time.

Deculas did not have slow feet. I watched him almost every down. He was actually pretty solid..

Agree. We definitely have a much better chance. Have to make sure Lewis and everyone knows there assignments and things could be much improved.

I thought so too. Not spectacular by any means, but solid.

ETA: I think what they are doing with Deculus is the right thing to do. Playing time at OG, some time or when needed at OT. I believe he has the tools to be an OT. He needs experience and development. Time at OG is a good way to get that.

Worth noting I'm biased because that's the recipe I think works best for CFB OL's:
- over recruit tackles
- play at OG till ready, injuries, or NFL force to move
- move them to OT once stronger, know calls, and have been developed.

This is based on the theory that ALL good OTs are serviceable OGs but all good OGs are NOT serviceable OTs.
