Decibel meter

Why don’t we show a decibel meter reading on the video board during peak moments?

Because it's stupid.

I mean when you see a number you want it to go up. Would probably make the stadium louder if we are being honest with ourselves.

Aren't most of those fake numbers and graphics anyways? Think they are pre-made.

I am ok with fake numbers if it makes the crowd get louder.
And it shows we are the loudest in the history of mankind.

Decibel meters are for mediocre, wine and cheese crowd fanbases. Think Texas. LSU does not, has never, and will never need to use a decibel meter to remind the crowd in DV to get loud. We understand the assignment. As a matter of fact, LSU needs to stop playing so much damn piped in music over the crowd and allow the crowd to get into a rhythm to let the noise build. The noise is who we are, who we pride ourselves on being, and what we'll continue to be without some meter on a screen reminding us. Having a meter on a screen telling me to be loud would be like someone telling me I need to breathe. Especially for Bama.
Those graphics are fake and pre-recorded anyway. It's just a video, not an actual reading of the crowd noise.

Agreed. Never put a decibel meter in Tiger Stadium.

We don't care unless it registers on the Richter scale.

I’d like to see it so just we could beat Tennessee

Discussing the 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff, Kiffin pointed to Tennessee’s crowd against the Crimson Tide as an example of the impact fans can make during a daytime game.
“Tennessee supposedly set the noise record against Alabama, which you could see in that game and affecting Alabama’s offense,” Kiffin said Monday. “And that was a 2:30 Central kick. So let’s break the record.”

Holley Rowe had a personal decibel reader for the Clemson game and she recorded high 120’s- highest she ever recorded

I imagine it would be even higher if they showed the live number on screen.
