Weren’t a lot of bowl games back then. I remember Ole Miss not even getting invited to a bowl one year in the late 90s or early 00s when they were 7-4

The Bizzaro World "Opposite" uniforms. Not too bad, but the jersey's definitely needed the shoulder stripes...….

What a sweet revenge game. Was 15 years old, went to that game to watch my cousin who was a senior for LSU. I was sporting my LSU starter jacket and was still cold as f^*%. After the game I remember sneaking into the hotel bar LSU was staying at, managed to drink a couple beers, and watch Cecil Collins play video poker. Pretty fun time for a high school kid

We tailgated that game. Got loaded with awesome boiled shrimp and lots of beer. The couple with us are diehard Irish fans. Sweet revenge!!!

Lou Tepper was DC that night. Wore out the same Notre Dame team we couldn't stop 7 weeks earlier at Tiger Stadium. With this new defense and Cecil Collins coming back I was thinking 1998 will be awesome.

I was there.

Mealey had 222 rushing yards.

It was cold as f*ck.

If LSU has to play in a crappy bowl, let it be this one and not the Belt Bowl or Music City.

Were you the shirtless guy that ran onto the field waving the Louisiana Tech flag?
