It's not logical to think that 80,000 people show up wearing a white shirt. The school would have to provide shirts for that.
Any white is better for participation. As previously mentioned, temperatures will probably dictate heavier attire than tee shirts, and you cant expect everyone to have white coats, hoodies, etc.
I'll have my whole crew in white, but it's going to cost alot. That cant be an expectation for the masses.

I know it's not the classiest look but a white t shirt costs like $3 at walmart and you can put it on over any P&G sweatshirt or long sleeved shirt. It's the visual from the field and on the screen that will make LSU show pride in standing with the defensive team leader. I'm all for LSU providing shirts, but to say its expensive to white out a stadium for the first half or for the whole game is ludicrous.

can you imagine, LSU goes into half down 6. some sort of video plays. Out comes White in #7. everyone rips off the white into the P&G.
