Autzen Stadium looks like a high school stadium compared to Tiger Stadium and, according to Youtube videos, it is not nearly as loud. There is nothing about the Oregon stadium or gameday experience that compares to LSU.

I agree..but thats not to say that its not loud as all hell. Its just not quite up there with LSU. There have been some ridiculous shite opposing teams and fans have said that has complemented Tiger Staduim as the most feared site in America

You hate when people do that because you obviously can't spell.

Parents live up that way...their neighbor is a season ticket holder, have gone to several games over the last 10 years. Its loud, stadium design helps. Tiger Stadium citizen for 12 years. Both very loud. Worth the trip to see the area and enjoy a game in a good locale. They do need some help with tailgating so bring supplies and teach them how its done LSU style, if you ever get the chance to go. Great atmosphere to see a game.

As has been said, the stadium's configuration and the fact that the seats are so close to the field contribute to the noise level there.
That being said, I would argue that Tiger Stadium has a higher ceiling for noise level than Autzen does, due to having more people, and more drunk people to boot.
A couple of fun facts about Autzen: it's not only not on campus, it's across the Willamette River from the campus. And it was built on top of a landfill.

Probably the only way this will happen anytime soon is if FCS-style playoffs replace the BCS for Bowl Division teams.
In the Football Championship Subdivision, lower-ranked teams go on the road to play higher-ranked teams at their venue.
So in addition to that season's schedule, fans get to see their teams play other top teams, either at home or away.

I try to experience at least one new (to me) college stadium a year. Love to experience different atmospheres. Last year, after the purchase of property in Boise area, saw smurf turf. Not a big fan, gave me a headache. Too much blue. This year ND v. Stanford in remodel stadium, been there before prior to remodel and if parents neighbor gets tickets, Jerry Dome! Loser pays for airfare. Tried for bar tab, but he knows better.

A decent command of 4th/5th grade grammar does not require “heavy proof reading” by anyone with half a brain.

Longtime LSU fan (1962) who lived mostly on the West Coast until the last 12 years. I've been in all the Pac Ten stadiums and to say any of them compare to Tiger Stadium is a joke.
Long time USC radio announcer (Mike Walton) said during the USC game at Tiger Stadium in the 70s...."This makes Notre Dame look like a walk in the park".
It's really not anything to argue about. No contest.

The way Autzen is built
I agree with this. Plus, with the way their offense plays, they constantly have exciting plays to cheer about. However, the world will agree that the SEC is a completely different universe than the Pac 10/12

they're both loud as frick and I wouldn't want to be a visiting QB at either venue.
They are very loud and don't stop cheering when the opposing offense is on the field but it's unfair to compare a stadium that holds almost a 100k to one that holds under 60k. They will expand eventually adding another 15k which COULD be mindblowing considering the way the stadium is built and the proximity to the field.

Back in 07 against ASU we had a 128.2 reading iirc (i know it was 127 or 128) at Autzen and that wasn't the loudest that I've heard it inside, the Halloween USC game being one of those. I ended up hosting Stewart Mandel of SI that ASU weekend and the comparison he used was LSU, whether it was the stadium noise, the night before the game and with the tailgating, he clearly thinks highly of you guys. Ultimately his opinion was the TS can get louder, but that Autzen maintains a higher level more consistently. I don't see a problem with that because its a subjective argument and both stadiums get loud as frick. I suppose we could argue over who has the nicer Track stadium though
This is what the hippies do underneath the footbridge on your way to the stadium

Tiger Stadium - 92,400
Autzen Stadium - 54,000
