Two years ago they were talking about him being a possible early entry into the draft. He was one of the most promising tight ends in the country with his size and speed. What is his draft status now. Has the new offense, running the ball first, hurt his productivity. It seems that he has become an after thought.

he's a tweener. possibly H-back if he's big enough

he's short for a premier TE and i don't think he'll be bulky enough to make up for it

He'll be really lucky to be drafted, short of running a 4.4x at the combine. UDFA IMO

the point is his height isn't a liabilty, Kellen Winslow was thought to be 6'5 or 6'6, but he measured out at 6'4 and he is still playin well at the position. Peterson was wasted at LSU because of poor QB play, hardly throwing to him, who knows what he could have done if thrown to regularly. Not sayin he would be elite in the NFL, but could have been a decent TE if his career at LSU would have been better.

yes, it is

davis got a slight pass b/c he was an amazing athlete, and he hasn't exactly been amazing in the NFL

height won't kill you if you're still good enough (see: aaron hernandez), but you better be awesome to make up for it (which davis did with his workout). it sucks for d-lo, but his production isn't great (not all his fault) and he's going to have to prove he's capable (b/c there isn't much film of him dominating on the field in college)

well, you just answered what I typed above you and you're correct, who knows what Peterson could have done if thrown to regularly.

"they" were wrong....the kid has decent speed, decent size and ok hands but really never showed elite skills. he doesn't impress me as one who will, consistantly, make the tough catch. the fact that our ground game has evolved into the major strength that it is has hurt all the receivers. who would you look for first, randall or peterson....obj or peterson....shep or peterson....clement or peterson? hopefully he gets drafted in a later round and gets with a team that can help him continue his development.

he is a former WR, and it shows. He doesn't like to block, and he isnt physical in the passing game.

he's pretty much Boo Williams

1. Alabama game last year on the end around.
2. Ole Miss game either last year or the year before when he got a BAD case of the alligator arms
3. And an overlooked instance, on JLEE's second pick in the Bama game he completely gave up and braced for the hit.
