#LSU linebacker Ray Thornton has entered the transfer portal, The Athletic has learned. First reported by @mzenitz.

After five years at LSU, Thornton had just five tackles in 2020. Will look to play his final season elsewhere.

I really thought he would shine at LSU by his Junior year.

I just hope we can replace his production.

Edit: Forgive me, for I have sinned and forgot that he was the one that recovered Tua's fumble last year.

Good luck Ray. I hope you can find a place where you can show out.

Think Phillip Webb is better suited there

Need more depth at Linebacker before you can move one that’s started to DE. We only have 7 scholarship LB’s and one is a converted WR. Need to use one of these last 3 spots on one.

Good luck to Ray, he was a great Tiger. Always hoped he would break out, but just never happened for him. Hopefully he can have alot of success at another school and give himself a chance at the next level.

Can't blame the guy. Helluva a fumble recovery against Bama last year.

Thank you for recovering Tua's fumble in 2019 and thank you for making Trask fumble before half this year.

Both of those plays gave us enough to win the game

He also used to always stick out in the summer hype videos

Hoping he can land somewhere where he can be an every down player. Enjoy that Ring as well bud!
