whether she admits it or not, she is chasing Kim. That’s why LSU gets so much negative

Why would Dawn need to chase a coach who has never beat her as head coach of lsu? Another ludicrous post.

USC is consistently a more poised and organized team. They are game faced and methodical, they are patient and focused. Meanwhile Kim and her substitution practices seem to rely on fast break chaos and turnover. Back yard playground basketball

Was funny when the guy sitting in for Ott ad Hanny gave her "first class".

There is a coach at UCONN who would disagree.

Geno is still #1. I thought he was done too. But Dawn is the heir apparent

she recruits and is excellent in-game. Kim is a great recruiter and average in-game coach.

Why do people argue over who is better. They all are great coaches and depending on the talent do well in their game. It's silly to always argue who's the best. I think they all deserve credit for what they have done over the years. You win some and lose some. SIMPLE!!!

Are you saying that Dawn is not looking to get another natty and catch Kim Mulkey at 4?

A lot of folks here love to hate Dawn just like a lot of folks elsewhere love to hate Kim. It is the nature of being a very successful, somewhat outspoken, SEC coach. Anyone who will take a moment and step back will acknowledge that we are seeing two of the best all-time women's basketball coaches to ever coach the game in the same conference at the same time.

Here are the top 5 coaches all-time in terms of national championships, the ones in bold are active coaches.

GENO AURIEMMA, 12 CHAMPIONSHIPS

PAT SUMMITT, 8 CHAMPIONSHIPS

KIM MULKEY, 4 CHAMPIONSHIPS

TARA VANDERVEER, 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS

DAWN STALEY, 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS

People saying Mulkey was lucky to win her title at LSU because South Carolina got upset forget Staley had the exact same scenario break her way to win her 1st title. The "unbeatable" team had a 1 off bad game in the final four that allowed her team to beat State in the finals instead of playing that Uconn team that would have almost assuredly trounced her South Carolina team in the title game. You can say Staley is currently better than Mulkey but it is based completely on the eye test, nothing result driven agrees there is much difference currently and career wise Mulkey is still clearly above her

Compltely agree! All this hate Dawn Staley receives on this board is ridiculous.........................similar to how much hate Saban used to receive, except for the obvious bigotry also hurled at Staley (not that she cares).

What we need to do is appreciate the fact that, as stated above, we're watching two of the greatest to ever do it.............................and yes, right now Dawn does "own" Kim. It's just a fact. As a fan of the Lady Tigers I HATE it, but it is what it is. They've beaten us six straight times under Kim and ALL but one of the games were decided by 10 or less points. Meaning, yes, SC is MUCH better at closing out games than we are. THAT is the part that Kim needs to figure out. They are ALWAYS more poised at the end of games than we are, regardless of the year.

She wins on talent not coaching. UCONN is calling.

Kim is 2-0 v Dawn when at Baylor

She is 0-5 at LSU.

She can beat Dawn. She just hasn’t yet here at LSU when Dawn has just had better teams.

People are acting like beating Dawn is easy.
USCs last 4 years (not including this year) they are:
2024-25 35-4. National runner up
2023-24 38-0 . Champs
2022-23 36-1. FF (loss to Caitlyn Clark)
2021-22 35-2. Champs

In those four years they lost 2 SEC games.

Beating Dawn is hard when you are rebuilding a team with no titles. It doesn’t help that Kim’s health problems derailed the 2024 recruiting cycle. It’s pretty obvious Redus can’t do himself. The draw is Kim.

Not arguing about who is the better coach. He’s an idiot for claiming Mulkey is an average in-game coach.

Dawn is good at beating Kim, her team didn't do anything special. SC would have loss if they played like that against UCONN. Right now, I think Geno is first, second is Dawn and Kim would be third.

I'm saying Dawn wants to win championships but she doesn't think about mulkey in that quest.

So the majority of basketball players are probably dykes so SC wouldn't have any problem .
