Geno has 12 titles, Mulkey 4 and Staley 3. And all 3 have one each last 3 seasons. So not sure how you can say anyone but Geno is the best currently.

I’d say don’t get caught up too much in a current snapshot. Titles are hard to come by and even truly great coaches can have years in between.

Off topic but Mulkey is 63. How many more years does she coach ? I’m going to say 5 max.

Was it luck that Mulkey had her team in the position to capitalize on that...lsu loses a game and some of all want to destroy the program. Grow the frick up

Did not say anything about destroying the program. Just that she got lucky to win the one she has. SC wins the chip if Caitlin didn’t beat them.

My GUESS is Kim Mulkey might coach to age 70 IF her health holds.

Let’s really examine how she’s been able to land that talent … and who’s backing it. A lot of it aligned with the DEI push during the LMNOP/Black Lives Matter era. Once that slowed down, the strategy shifted to leveraging agent relationships, particularly through networks like Rich Paul’s.
That so-called “champions” tournament? It feels more like a coordinated showcase that benefits Staley’s program than a level playing field. Meanwhile, she’s been so focused on tracking what Kim is doing on the recruiting trail that she’s let programs like Vandy quietly rise. The landscape is changing, and whether she admits it or not, she is chasing Kim. That’s why LSU gets so much negative press during recruiting season.

That’s a ridiculous take. She continues to own mulkey head to head at lsu. She’s definitely not chasing her

Kim still has more championships than she does! It’s ok to be in your feelins, but know what your talking about when you do.

If Bueckers and Brady don’t miss the entire season due to season ending surgeries in 22-23, LSU might not have a title. They were absolutely stacked with 6 players who had a ton of experience. BUT that’s part of the game. Clark got them in 24 in the final 4.

There is no might. LSU isnt beating Geno or Dawn if they played in the final. She got lucky and hey some times luck is needed to win a title. I’m glad she won it

People love playing the if game.what if Joe B doesn’t come to LSU,Nick decides to stay at Mich St,Skip states at Miami. The bottom line is LSU sports has been successful because they did and won championships.KM is a great coach as are Gino and DS ,we make our FTs and we win does that make one coach that better than the next.DS is a great recruiter who happened to be up and coming during BLM and that made a huge difference socially for the best black players to want to play for a black coach who pushes the race card.Good coaches do what is necessary to win.

We know she's really good when her teams have superior talent to the opponent's.

It can be hard to gauge college coaches because of the disparity in talent.

Saban was a great coach when he put superior talent on the field in 12 out of 12 games. His ego drives him to a league where parity is tantamount, and he forgets how to coach.

Great recruiters are often deemed to be great coaches.

Give me Geno (Titles speak) or Vic (Bringing Miss. State to back to back National Title Appearances is no small feat)

She is still chasing Mulkey’s resume, but she is unequivocally a better coach than present day Mulkey.

It’s fine to not like her because of her personality and because she continues to beat LSU, but to try and shortchange Staley as strictly a basketball coach is hilariously stupid.

Pure luck. If Caitlin Clark doesn’t go apeshit and beat SC. Mulkey doesn’t have a championship at LSU

One of the dumbest comments I’ve read on this board and that says a lot.

If my grandfather had wheels he would have been a bike.

Ifs are the logic of the low iq

You didn’t quote me or EVEN acknowledge what I said because you are solely focused on your point.
Having said what I said I ended it BUT THAT IS PART OF THE GAME.

What I posted was about UConn and what happened to their roster in 22-23. Nothing else. Stop the hate agenda and try to make it about thr tooic

Nobody is. She just isnt likeable to a lot of posters. But the post is a horrible take when Geno is still coaching.
