re: Davhon Keys should start over West Weeks against Clemson

Weeks will play 60% of snaps. Other guys will work in for the other 40%. If someone shows out, they will pick up %. That is how it works. Guys who are physical freaks with less experience will come in for rush packages, a la Frosh Perkins.

You do realize the downvotes aren't because anyone here thinks Keys is bad right? The downvotes are because you have the audacity to post that you are certain that one player should start over another without any real information.

West Weeks was hurt last season and played ina backup role prior to injury so any tackles per game nonsense stats don't really apply. West Weeks has also been very serviceable in his limited snaps at LSU. Davon Keys got to start some games last year and played welll enough but he didn't dominate to the point that it would be a sin if the coahces chose west over him. Not to mention, Keys will play a lot regardless of who starts.

This isn't a DJ Chester/ Mubenga situation where everyone saw them suck last year and would like Echols or Curne to get a shot since camp reports say they still suck. This is 2 guys that have both played well for LSU in limited snaps. I think I'll defer to Blake Baker on who starts.

Keys will play, he will probably play more snaps vs certain teams than West. If he’s playing 2nd, 3rd down and especially more in vs tougher teams, who’s starting doesn’t even matter at that point but having brothers starting next to each other is better headline Tbf

I'm late to the party but has West Weeks made one memorable play in his time here?
