The last 5 games the D played lights out and one of the best in CFB.

Definitely weren't "lights out"

I think Aranda was a BIG part of this team winning it all. Hes top 3 best coordinators in college

Every year, his defense gets better as the year goes along.

In an article I read this morning, he admitted he had paralysis by analysis in the first quarter. His defense was too complicated and was leading to confusion within his defense. He told them in the 2nd quarter to just go play base defense and the rest is history.
From The Athletic:
“We needed some confidence,” Aranda said. “I thought early on, I was making some bad calls. I thought they had a good plan. I thought we made some uncharacteristic mistakes. A call would go in and I thought it was this and I thought it was that or I didn’t get the call. The idea was sometimes when you have two weeks off (a plan becomes overcomplicated). I think that was it.
“We settled those calls down, put them aside and did our base stuff. What it was, the mistakes, the penalties, there was guys pointing around (asking) ‘who has that guy’ and stuff like that. That really hasn’t been us that last stretch. So we settled down and played our base stuff. Our cleats were on the ground. Our heads were up. They had to beat us. That was the difference.”

When you play all these spread and rpo teams, you’re going to give up points. The defense most definitely got its shite together at the end of the season.

Today would be the perfect ending for Tiger fans. Wake up a National Champion and today start firing Coaches

I heard an interesting interview that explained how LSU actually had a better defense than Clemson, according to Vegas ratings. They have a formula that includes strength of schedule, games without key players, garbage minutes...etc. It's extremely detailed.

Well duh
I said that early in the season and got shite for it

When Clemson was gasping for breath in last 3 quarters of the game LSU defense was shitting into high gear.

The days of holding opponents to 2 td’s or less every game are long gone hell even 3 is unrealistic

Some of us tried to tell everyone that.

I think this is his biggest problem, he over thinks sometimes.
I knew Clemson would get some with their trick plays but I knew they couldn't line up and beat us straight up for 60 minutes.

We gave up 25 points to one of the best offenses in college football and only 8 points in the second half. In this day and age of college football you really can’t ask for much better. The dumbasses calling Aranda out early on look like retards as usual. I’m talking to you pirate and coachw.

A straight up idiot who responded to “who would you replace Aranda with” with “Literally anyone.”
I think Aranda stole his gf.
