Can you imagine the meltdown here when Bama hires Aranda to succeed Saban?

Agree 100%. Dave has a higher ceiling and although Kelly isn’t terribly old, more time to coach in his career vs Kelly

Dave higher ceiling lower floor. Sadly Scott is all about high floors not ceilings.

Maybe Woodward will call Kiffen, Riley or Napier tomorrow.... fire up the coaches changes board baws!!!!!!

Why would he do that? He's not an emotional low-testosterone irrational thinker like half the baws on this board.

As did I, but I don't think he wanted us. At least not at this stage of his career.

Nah I think he comes if we offered. Scott just wasn’t going to go that route.

I think Kelly will be fine and build us back but not sure he can punch us over the finish back to a title.

Woodward is just so pretentious and elitist. Honestly Alleva made better hires.

You listed your top 4, only spelled one name correctly. No wonder other fanbases make fun of ours.

Dave Aranda would not take the job. I’m sure the ring made it worth it for him but it’s obvious from comments he’s made that he didn’t enjoy being at LSU

It would be interesting to see athletic departments before and after him.

It feels like Aggy might have improved since he left.

Ole Miss just scored again. I have a strict rule about my HC’s not being on the spectrum.

Can we just stop with all this? I really like Aranda. Would have been happy with that hire, but talking about the "high ceiling" guys at lsu doesn't make sense. The ceiling is national championships. Both Kelly and Aranda can get and have been there except Kelly had done it as the HC. That's why he was preferred. I truly don't believe Aranda would have any better of a run here than Kelly except for longevity given their ages.

If Orgeron can, I think Kelly can. I am not trying to speak to you specifically when I say this but it amazes me how quickly people forget that Orgeron was just a walking cheerleader who was clueless about running a program. Yet he managed to stumble and luck his way in to not just a championship but one of the greatest teams of all time through his staff's efforts. Now we get a guy who has a track record of building programs and making them successful and we question if he can get us back to win another title becausehia first game wasnt a win. I don't understand that thinking.

Les and O both managed to win titles so we can win them even with retards.

I think it’s something unique here. We can win titles on talent alone.

Kelly could but his oc and dc hire both brought a lot of worries and game 1 didn’t change that.

I'm not really sure why. Kelly runs the offense for the most part so I don't think bringing in a new OC would change the scheme all that much.

House had a successful run at Kentucky. He knows how to coach LBs and has done it successfully at multiple levels. He has experience coaching almost every defensive position group. House will be just fine long term. I thought when we were allegedly trying to pull the Kentucky DC that they were all ok with that because he was just coasting on what Matt House built. Maybe I am not remembering it correctly but I thought that was the case.
