Todd Kinchen, what a ridiculous athlete! Played AAU basketball with him. There was nothing that guy couldn't do. Great guy too!

Dad bought me a knockoff Abram Booty Jersey when I was 10 or 11. Wore that to school twice a week for that school year!

I was in the presence of Bill Arnsbarger when he was beside himself trying to get Stan Humphries to go to class, but Stan always eluded his assigned shadower. Stan would have been a difference maker at QB for us.

Billy Cannon, followed by Bert Jones and Casanova.

I met Cannon when I was about 10 years old at a church banquet at which he was the guest of honor (can you imagine that now).

I picked Bert Jones and his girlfriend up at the Shreveport airport in the early 70's because she was my (then) wife's former college roommate. He rode in the back seat of a '68 Camaro--knees were practically on the ceiling.

I met Casanova in Shreveport when he was interviewing for med school. Nice, almost shy, personality. He ended up dating the same girl that Bert had dated. {She eventually married Hank Williams, Jr. after his accident}
