Little Nicky was not a happy camper after that win.

I was still a student at LSU then. I remember being in Fred's that night, and the place would erupt whenever the Sportscenter highlight would come up on the tv's.

If I remember, Saban tried to ice the kicker by calling time out but was ignored by the referee. Had he gotten the time out, none of this would have happened. My neighbor is a Kentucky graduate and when I went outside to breath a long sigh of relief my neighbor was trying to start his lawnmower. He looked up and said he was sorry that his team messed up our season. I had to tell him that KU did not win. He left to cut his grass right after the FG was made.
Crazy stuff!

I still have a VCR tape of the game. I've never played the tape. Now I can't because I don't have a tape player.

best quote from any broadcast...his downtrodden tone when he says it is hilarious.

I found a write-up for it...13 seconds were left: LINK.

Actually that's the stats from the year prior when we won the game on a last second catch after an 80 yard drive.

Here's the stats from the Bluegrass Miracle game.
quote:

Clint Ruth kickoff 60 yards to the LS5, Dev. Henderson return 8 yards to
the LS13, out-of-bounds.
L 1-10 L13 LSU drive start at 00:11 (4th).
L 1-10 L13 Deadball foul, PENALTY LS delay of game 5 yards to the LS8, NO PLAY.
L 1-15 L08 Marcus Randall pass complete to Michael Clayton for 17 yards to the LS25,
1ST DOWN LS.
L 1-10 L25 Timeout LSU, clock 00:02.
L 1-10 L25 Marcus Randall pass complete to Dev. Henderson for 75 yards to the UK0,
1ST DOWN LS, TOUCHDOWN, clock 00:00.

Edit: Does anyone have a link to the ORIGINAL LSU radio call Howthorn's screwup?

JACK HUNT!

and he was legitimately great for two years in Tampa, then completely fell off after that for some reason. it was weird.

(might be the first and last topic you and i ever agree on, btw)

I think my favorite part is watching Randall after he let's go of the ball. Even with Kentucky fans surrounding him, he never takes his eyes off the play... Like he is just expecting something special to happen!
