He ran for about a thousand of that against "The best team in the history of college football" in their conference championship !!

I thought ESPN reserved the title "best team in the history of college football" for USuCk only.

This year, they slipped to only being touted as the "best defense in the history of CFB", on which an average PSU team put 24 points.

So did Sproles. He got absoltely destroyed several times by the DE's and LB's last night. But he got right back up, just like TH does. You are just stupid if you think TH is not tough.

i think it's more of the strength to break arm tackles of LBs, which sproles posseses and trindon doesn't

sproles plays around 180-190 now, which is much bigger than trindon (who playes 155-160)

Darren Sproles > Trindon Holliday

I love Trindons speed but he needs lots of work on breaking tackles IMO....

I forget the KSU quarterback at that time , but if I'm not mistaken they were an option team with a qb that was more likely to run than pass

El Roberson was a bad man back in the day.

False. Trindon actually does break some tackles and pushes himself forward on contact. Trindon isn't the runner that Sproles is, but its an urban legend that Trindon can't break tackles or falls down on contact.

I just talked to trindon and this is what he had to say: It's cool man, I know there are a lot of people that pat me on the back when I do something good, but really think i'm a sideshow. Doubters make me better.
I told him about the Darren Sproles talk and he said DS is a hell of a back and he can only hope to work to get on his level of play in the NFL. "I'm going to work my arse off and be a leader for this team next year. Gotta win another ring" so he cares more for this team than himself. That was the convo in a nutshell, I tell you, I never have talked to a guy with more self confidence.

How would it be if you had them both on the same team, along with Jacob Hester and ran the "Wild Smurf"?

Thanks Paco.

Please tell Trindon there are plenty of his fans around who think he can do big things. He is not a sideshow. Hopefully the coaches will let him break out this year. Many of us love him and support him. Please note my sig pic below.

Keep us posted about him. Appreciate you.

Who care if Trindon is the next Sproles? I hope the young man works his butt off to be the best TH he can be. If he works his butt off to be a reliable PR next year, he will make a career in the NFL. He's got a great chance to earn a living making more money in about 6-7 years than most of us make in a lifetime. The kid is fun to watch with the ball in his hands.

will do, he knows that people repect him and I think he is very thanKful for those fans. He likes kids and I think that is the coolest thing about the guy. When so many kids look up to you; and you give them hope that no matter the size, you can do whatever you put your mind to, that's worth it all for him IMO.

Trindon is A+ guy, on and off the field. I read the great post on here about him going to the Christmas party of a guy on here and presenting an award to a young fan who loves him and has autism. Trindon represents LSU first class. We notice, and appreciate.

Paco:

At the risk of looking like some kind of nut, I am putting on here for you to pass along the email I sent to my best LSU fans/friends right after the Chick Fil Bowl.

_________________

Here is my all-favorite lineup for 2009:

No. 7 Patrick Peterson
No. 8 Trindon Holliday
No. 9 Jordan Jefferson
No. 10 Russell Shepard

No. 3 Chad Jones

Analysis:

Patrick Peterson, who has been my favorite on defense this year, was outstanding in the bowl game. He is a true freshman, and will be even better as a sophmore next year with Chavis as our defensive coach.

Trindon Holliday, whose kick returns make every gameday Christmas. Look for Jefferson to get the ball to him lots in 09.

Jordan Jefferson, see the below 12/31/08 post. Will be first team SEC in 2009. Watch Tebow cry. Again.

Russell Shepard, who will not redshirt, but will be the next "Percy Harvin" type player, but will outshine Harvin to the point that the TV talking heads will now call that "athlete" position player the "Russell Shepard" type player. Watch for him in the slot, as a wideout, as flanker catching passes from Jefferson, and running the "Wild Tiger" here and there. See Crowton smile. See Tebow cry, again and again.

Chad Jones, whom I have adored since he leveled Sarah Jessica Parker right beofre my very eyes in Bryant Denny Stadium to force a fumble that led to the gaming wining touchdown against the hated Bama. He is FINALLY starting at free safety where he belongs. Look for him to remain at that position and demolish SEC offenses next year. He is listed below the other players not as an indication of importance or lack of love, but a symbol of his roving the field, free safety style of play.

Also, as you know, I believe a little luck and karma mixes with coaching and skill to produce victories. Note the sucessive numbers of the guys: 7, 8, 9, 10. Can't be anything but good.

Sproles was in the backfield for K-state almost every down. I don't see TH taking the hits constantly that Sproles took.
